I purchased the unlimited license of the chat room.  Before I was paying a monthly fee for the company to host the chat themselves (and it only supported up to 50 connections), now I've gone out and purchased it so that I don't have to keep paying them each month to host for me.  It's located on one of the vizzed servers and since it's not on the main server or the db server, even if vizzed goes down, the chat room will most likely stay up (like before).

There are a few new features that I added:

1. Clicking the Chat Room link automatically logs you into the chat room

2. The chat room time logger is back which keeps track of each minute you spend in the chat room

3. It costs 1 Viz again for each minute you spend in the chat room (so 1 hour would be 60 viz)

4. When you click the chat room, it'll automatically detect whether you have flash enabled or not and if you don't, it'll take you to the html chat

5. Cleaner URL

We also have a new chat bar on the way which I'll make a different thread about when that goes live.  I'll also eventually be replacing the little chat box in the Play Game windows within the RGR with little instances of their own chat room based this chat room software.


EDIT: Chat Room Logger Fixed!  I just realized that the Chat Room logger wasn't working (probably for a while now) and that it also wasn't deducting 1 Viz per a minute, both of these things do work now.

Yay! The chat costs Viz to use again! I was wondering what to do with all this extra cash I have.

Hey David, do you think that while adding stuff and changing up the Chat room, you could add an option to transfer files to other people? It's ok if you can't do that yet.

Davideo7 : Does it support on the Wii. And also, did everything got deleted when you upgraded it since I don't have my avatar pic anymore.

I didn't even notice that the chat hasn't been costing any Viz lately. It's good that Viz has a more noticeable use again.

UserMike : A few people said the feature was abused.  1 member posted a vagina and another a penis.

epicpokenerd! : That addon costs $50.  So unless someone is willing to donate to help me pay for it, I probably wont be able to afford it.  I spent $500 on the chat room so I'll be low on money for a while.

becerra95 : It should work on the Wii and most cell phones.  Yeah things got deleted.

rcarter2 : Yeah, it's always nice when Viz has more of a use and hopefully it'll encourage a little extra posting.

I'm curious, when you say the cost is back, does the cost apply to mods, or is it free for mods like it was before?

WOOHOO!!! The chat is now back to the normal, that's great. Honestly, 1 Viz per minute, it's not a big deal, I have lot of Viz to spend too and it will be cool.

Well, I guess I won't worry a whole ton today then. All the mods were put into place, so when it comes up I'm sure someone will be in there.
