Because 2 users requested it, I've made it so the chat room link is accessible by anyone, even guests.  Before it was only accessible by people who have passed the newbie quiz.

I also changed the 'Help Room' into the 'Guest Chat / Help Room' where users can go to get help and where guests not signed up or logged in can also chat.  I'm not sure what happened to the old Guest Chat but now it's sorta back up.

I think we should have the mods monitor chat as close as possible.

I generally am in there for most of the day and can get trouble out before it happens, but I can't cover it all day.

I like the idea. Now if we have some random child come we can tell him more about the site before he joins and gets frustrated and leaves because he does not know what he is doing. This should bring up the overall member growth in months to come. That is assuming that some kid does not just flame the chat room. So I assume that the link will be up regardless of if you are logged in or not? Otherwise they still have to sign up.

Yeah, there has been an influx of newbs and immature spammers in the chat lately. I'm not sure if it's because of this or not, but maybe they just aren't reading the rules anymore if they don't have to pass the Newbie Quiz.

People can sign in with Facebook and it completely bypasses the account stuff basically.

I reccommend getting rid of the facebook/twitter/google thing regardless.

All it does is add confusion to who is in chat.

And to be fair, the majority of people who cause issues in chat are repeat offenders who had already passed the newbie quiz.
