I really love doctoring it up. Split some kind of sausage open and brown the meat with garlic and onions. Dump the sauce in the pan after meat is done, turn down the burner and warm the sauce. I use sweet, spicy ,or sage sausage or some andouille or whatever. Toss in some dried herbs with the sauce. Rarely do I have the energy to make the tomato sauce but when I do, even better! Cold glass of milk and crusty garlic bread. Yes I like spaghetti. LOL

I hate spaghetti, and also to all that think it is a classic Italian dish good for you but there is a fair amount of American in it. Wouldn't be sauced up unless they found the tomatoes. Tomatoes were discovered in America and for a long time were thought to be poisonous. As much as I hate spaghetti now I would definitely hate to see the dish with no tomatoes. Blah
