Mine is actually probably "Come Together" By The Beatles. I just love it.

"A Little Piece of Heaven" by A7X is my favorite song at the moment. However, my favorite song changes quite a bit, so.....yeah.

I have no specific favorite song, largely because there is too many great songs out there with various emotional attachments. I very rarely make a top 10, or even a top 100 list. 

I'm a bit picky about what my favorite songs are because I virtually NEVER add a song to my top whatever after a few listens. I find a song must hold up after some time has passed. For instance, one song I liked when I heard but not so much now was a song called "Not My Time" from 3 doors down...even then I couldn't call it a favorite and I didn't dare say it was one because I knew then it was a tad early, and I was right.

I should compile a top 100 list at some point...

Is this question really possible to answer? I mean I'm sure that everyone has a bunch of songs they consider favorites and they shift from time to time. I only listen to rock and roll music, so my answer would be limited to that. At the moment, I'd have to say that my favorite song is "Octavarium" by Dream Theater. Its twenty four minutes long and amazing!

By the way, Redrunelord, I know what you're saying about "Not My Time". I often buy a CD because I like the single and then forget about it because there are songs that are so much better. Well, except for Bohemian Rhapsody. I still like that song.

mariomon64 : Exactly...I almost always finds the songs that aren't the flagship titles are usually, in many ways, superior to the flagship song. Maybe because the songs are actually equal in caliber but its just one gets overplayed. I made no secret that a band I'm a huge fan of is AC/DC and while a lot of their singles and whatnot are good songs, I really likes their more obscure work (aka songs fans would only likely know). Some of Iron maiden's flagship songs I couldn't care less for (Like The trooper is a bit overrated in my opinion...a solid song, but overrated).

That's a part of the difficulty in choosing a top 10 or even top 100 list...you have to be careful about including songs that happen to be well known: is it being added because of its notoriety, or because its legitimately one of their best songs? Some examples would be "Turn the Page" by Bob Seger, or "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd: both extremely strong songs of theirs, but still relatively well known to their other work.

I think you're also right in that tastes shifts over time, and its very difficult to say a specific song is your favorite for a long time, unless there is am immense emotional attachment. One song like this for me is "Old Man" by Neil Young...its a song thats well known and solid (especially live), but more importantly it has a strong emotional attachment for me so I'll feel more inclined to list it towards the top.

My favorite song of all time is Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin.  The song sounds very good, and my dad used to play it to me to get me to sleep (the beginning part).

My favorite song, by far, is So What by Miles Davis. I absolutely love Jazz, and that song is as classic as it gets .

That's a very hard question for me to answer. I have a bunch of top favorite songs. Hmmm.. If I had to choose. I guess I could say Cold by Crossfade. 

My favorite song periodically changes. =| It's impossible to pick just ONE. My favorite song at the moment, though, would have to be "Secrets" by One Republic. It's a little overplayed, yes, but Iunno... I just really like it. [=

My favorite song of all time is The Final Countdown by Europe. Gives me chills every time I hear it.

My favorite song from my childhood was "Down Under" originally released in 1981 by Men at Work.   My favorite song at the present time is "In Dying Days"  released in 2006 by As Blood Runs Black.   Downeaster Alexa is a close second current favorite of mine.  I have a wide range of taste in music.

My favourite song would have to be "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses. It's the first rock song I ever heard and I've been a fan of hard rock ever since.

I don't really have one favorite song. Just picking in reverse alphabetical order of my favorites, I say Whiskey Lullaby. 

I do have a favorite song that is purely instrumental. That is Lux Aeterna, composed by Clint Mansell. I can listen to that all day.

"Bailamos" , the Latin pop song from singer Enrique Iglesias, sung in Englis......I really really love that song.....It really is gold quality and makes me vibrate....

My favorite song is probably going to be Faithfully (Survivor) as I listen to it so much.
