Just a few minutes ago, my mother and step father got into a huge argument and now a divorce is inevitable. Some of the things I heard my step father said was rather hurtful. I've mentioned before that I have no job, but I'm still trying to get a job, by sending in countless applications. It's a lot harder for me because I don't have an education and the economy sucks right now, but he goes off call me a worthless piece of trash. Pretty much dragging my name through the mud toward my mother. I've done my hardest not to get involved. Thankfully he left before I said anything. He claims that he owns this property when we know my sister bought this property for us and my mother would pay her off each month when she would get money. My step father didn't partake in that. When my mother proved him wrong. He threatened to burn the home down. He's bipolar, but that doesn't give him the right to do what he did. When this goes down for real this time. I may disappear for a bit. I don't know how long I'll be gone, but I'll diffidently will come back. This place is a great place for me to get away from the stress I have to deal with.

hnnn : I'm not holding my breath on this one. This is the big one. If he would talk about me like that in front of my own mother, then he doesn't care. He'd just better hope I don't step into the picture or there will be a fight. I hate fighting, I've been through it all my life and I'm tired of it. So I'm going to try my absolute hardest to find a job now.

I meant more along the lines of you getting a job but it may be for the best if they break up (idk the situation but it may be better that way)

Well good luck man divorces suck and don't listen to your step dad he is probably just to mad and doesn't think about what he says

D_Man : The man rarely thinks. He's like a 5 year old spoiled brat. I don't see him as a father figure any longer. It may sound cruel, but not like he was acting earlier. He always complains about us showing him respect. Well, when he start showing support and show us respect. I lost all respect for the worthless man.

I am sorry no one really deserves that kind of crap at home, not even satan. Leave us by all means if you have too, as I always say real life first. If you have to do something in real life. DO IT, we will be here when you get back.

Dang, Natas. I hope this man will be out of your life from now on. While you did say he is bipolar, I do hope that his threats are nothing more than hollow. I'll be praying for you, dude.

AuraBlaze : Well, he's back in the room and they both are in there. Everything is calm, but it's going to take a while for him to regain my respect. I honesty try to help out even if it doesn't seem like much. I'm trying to get a job, but like I've said before. It's hard to get a job with no education and while the economy sucks the way it is right now. His gesture to me didn't hurt me, but it's still hurts. If that make sense.

that sucks.... second/third etc marriages are quite often tough.... my wife's parents are both on 2nd (or later) marriages. Things get dicey sometimes.

Hope you can figure things out so that you are able to remain at Vizzed through all this.

geeogree : Yeah, that's relationships for you. Even though he didn't have to take it that far with me when I wasn't even the conversation... Boy that's harsh, but he's back and they calmed down a bit, but I have a strong feeling that this is the calm before the storm, but don't worry, even during this, I'm not leaving Vizzed at all. Though I may disappear for a bit, but I'll find my way back here. I come to love this place to ever leave it.

It's good that they've calmed down for now, but I'm praying that things will get resolved before it gets worse.

well, sometimes in relationships a big blowup like this is exactly what is needed to facilitate some change.... hope for the best.

geeogree : Well, I talked to my mom this morning and I'm going to quote what she said. "Well, you have to think about it, you're the only calm one, but we all are stressed, starving and at each others throats. Of course it was going to happen." My step father was going to call in to work to get his tools to pond to get something to eat, but his boss called and now he's working. So I'm guessing everything is alright for the time being. 

I feel really sorry for you.   Stepfathers are super mean like that.   I hope that you and your mother move on and you find a job.

Natas : WOW, I remember having to go through hiding in the bedroom when my Dad would fight with my Mom. All of us kids would huddle together whenever that happened. I don't remember much of it, cause some of the time I was really little, but i do remember being so scared. So in some sense I know how it feels.
