Do you remember how in the old movies and cartoons that were based on futuristic times like The Jetsons? Well there is a lot of movies that are about robots who usually enslave the human race or take over the planet. Usually in most movies though, a super hero who usually never got caught by the robots turns the day around by ether destroying all the robots, moving all the people from one planet to the next or destroying the supreme overlord of robots or there "commander". But have you ever wondered if are society becomes intelligent enough to make a world like this, ran by robot servants and bots who run the streets, Would you think there would be a possibility that the robot race could become superior to the human race and attempt to take over our planet known as Earth?

Well I remember hearing a report that a group of scientist did make two robots that made their own language and were talking to each other. That's really scary in my opinion..... If robots can make a secret language of their own it is possible to take over the humans then.

Well, something like that is certainly a possibility, but I think our scientists and programmers will be smart enough to make some sort of failsafe that can stop the robots before it happens.

I do think that in the future, we can make robots that are very near to independent thought. However, I don't believe that it's possible to artificially create something that's fully self-aware.

Poliwag : Yeah, I think it's possible that robots could take over. It will be that Humans consider killing wrong, but humans so much killing, therefore with logic, humans = wrong. It also makes since that robots can think much faster than we can, and are far more efficient at just about everything.

Honestly, with the way we are advancing in technology, I think it is possible that we do become enslaved by robots.  Robots (and computers) are much smarter than humans because they have the answers to many things in their programming, not all put in by the same human.  The reality that it can happen scares me sometimes.

I'm sure that technology will keep moving forward; robotics definitely has a lot of potential and will probably be implemented into a lot of things. However, robots are not superior when it comes to a lot of things.

Our technology is just as fallible as we are since we created it. For this reason, humans are needed to control and maintain technology or it falls apart. I can't see artificial intelligence taking over and trying to control life on earth like in a science fiction movie, mainly for this reason.

If they are intelligent enough, I think it would be more along the lines of the movie I, Robot where the machines are guided by a set of unbreakable rules. And even if they did go berserk, The leaders of the world would most definitely sanction the use of EMP's which would disable all electronics.
