My favourite classes were Art and Horticulture. My art teachers were great and gave you the freedom to do whatever it was that you wanted to do artistically, whether is was pottery, painting, wood burning, sandblasting, it didn't matter. Erica ( one of the teachers ) would always come up with these fanciful ideas proclaiming "I have a really sick idea!" and she would greet the class every afternoon by saying "Hello my little chickadees!"
My Horticulture class was my first favourite though. You couldn't ask for a better work environment. The class room itself was full of flowers of all different types and had five adjacent greenhouses that the students would be given for the year to look after. We had a large aquarium, and a huge rock pond in the back greenhouse full of fish. Louise, our teacher, had brought her birds into the class as well: Chai, Latte and Bobby. Bobby loved to imitate sounds, so often we would hear meowing, laughter and various computer sounds coming from greenhouse 'A'. The look on the principals face when he heard meowing one day was priceless. At the beginning of every year, we would be taken to the pet store to pick out a beta fish, which we were allowed to take home at the end of the year. We would even have water fights with hoses in the classroom.
 I had some of the best days of my life in that class. Even though not every student hung out with the others outside of the classroom, we were all like a little family in that class, and we always stuck up for one another. I really miss that class.
