Should the Item Shop game items be key items? (in other words, not sellable)

Users have complained that when they buy one of the game systems in the RGR or when they buy the 'Laptop' or 'V-Machine' item that the games don't appear on their profile like they would if they had "bought" the game with Viz.  Games appear that way because those represent games that you can sell and if games were placed there when you owned the item, you could than sell the item and than sell all the games that you got for free while owning the item.

Here's the solution:

When you buy the 'Laptop' or the 'Game Boy Advance' system, you cannot sell it, ever (it'd be labeled as a 'key item').  This way the games that you play while owning these items will show up on your profile like the games do when you buy them with Viz.

I think this sounds like a great idea.

So, would these key items be in a seperate box, different from the accessories box they are currently in? I would hate to not have room for other items because I bought a bunch of systems.

I think this is fair. I do not see why someone would sell their "Laptop" unless they would need the extra space for items used in the (currently non-existant) Battle Arena --so I would have to ask the same question Casu has. I would like to see my games appear on my profile even after I got the Laptop. The least I would want this feature is to see all the games I have played here on Vizzed.

I'm not sure if it could be coded this way, but what if you do want the games to show up on your profile, but say if a RGR staff member is working on random games, could it be an option to chose which games show up and which ones don't? I'd hate to have to sell a bunch of games to get them off of my profile.

Anyways, what you mentioned sounds like a good idea, since I like the games to appear on my profile so I can keep track of what I played. Right now, I always have to go to the game history to remind myself what I've played.

But if it is something others care enough to bring it up as an issue, then I'm all for it. Whatever can be put on that is good for those who want it, and doesn't hinder those who don't personally need it is worth putting on. This harms nobody, so when you have time, go for it.
