I heard about this a while ago. I think it's a cool Idea, but it does seem a bit desperate. I still probably won't get a 3DS for at least 3 years, but hey, good for customers, I guess. Nintendo is either really desperate for money, or publicity.

To me, the price cut was a great thing because it makes the 3DS more affordable. I don't really mind I didn't get it early because I can already play a majority of the games they're releasing for the virtual console.
