I can cook somewhat, but that's all the real easy dish. I can cook like breakfast foods, eggs, bacon, sausages. The basics. I can't cook things like chicken, because I have trouble taking it out when it's done on the outside and still pink on the inside. It's not that I'm impatient, it's that I mistake it that it's done because the outside is done. 

I can cook a little. If I had the recipe I might be able to do it . But sometimes I fail and make a complete mess of the kitchen. Like one time I tried to make soup(just keep in mind this was when I was in-experienced) I made the nastiest thing ever and I had to pour it down the drain

I took home economics while still in school and I've also tried cooking some. I've had people say I could be a chef if I really tried and went for it. One thing I've made that people love is a desert, it is essentially bananas fried with cinnamon,butter and some other things.

Yes I'm a girl but I'm talking on behalf of my father.  He's an ok cook, he does most of the cooking but his problem is that it's all basic.  He does not experiment and has the worst fetish for steak....  He never puts spices on food or anything like that.  Took us ten years to convince him to put onions inside the hamburgers he makes.  Now he realizes that they are extra good that way.

Now women also have trouble cooking (which I had no idea until I met my step mom).  See when I grew up every girl in my family knew how to cook.  I knew how to cook since I was 4.  When I moved in with my step mom I was excited to see what she could cook up.  Then I saw her hopeless attempt to cook Mac & Cheese...  Instead of putting the macaroni into the pot she kept it in the strainer and attempted to mix it in the strainer over the stove...  Took me house to clean that hellish mess up!  She also makes exploding water where she heats the water too hot and it explodes the cup....

So yes guys are not the only ones that have trouble cooking.

I have tried time and again to teach my man to cook and he will not let me. He gives the excuse that he wasn't allowed in the kitchen as a kid so now he as no desire to learn... he can make some yummy nachos though.

My dad is actually a pretty good cook, though he prefers working with stuff on the grill. He has really taught me more about cooking than my mom has since he likes to share and talk about things he does... unlike my mom who just shrugs and goes "I don't use measurements" when I ask her for how she makes things.

Interestingly enough, I have a cousin and five friends that have gone through culinary schools, all men.

I'm actually really good at cooking. I dont know why exactly but I have always had a flair for it.

I started cooking later in my childhood, my first real meal being stirfry at the age of 14.

I can cook almost anything given the ingredients.

Given the ingredients and a recipe pretty much makes cooking all the more simple. I'd probably be about average.

My cooking is around average, but I consider myself more of a baker than a restaurant chef. I can cook to get by, and it comes out decent if I know the ingredients and the basis of the recipe/steps, but I would rather be mixing the dough for bread or making batter for various items personally.

as for real food i think guys and girls are the same im just bad at cooking and end up burning any real meal i try to cook :s

My mom says I have the potential to be one since I'm good at making basic stuff.

Yes, I can cook (at least simple meals). However, I don't usually like to cook, unless it is going to be for more than just myself.

Man, I don't know what this "dudes can't cook" is :/

I know how to grill tons of different foods on the BBQ.

As far as in the kitchen, an ex-girlfriend taught / inspired me to cook a lot of different dishes.

Best thing I've cooked? - I dunno, I guess for certain holidays I've spent the entire morning into the afternoon cooking the meal for family in the past.

Cooking is fun - I almost went into a co-ownership of a restaurant in the past, long story why I didn't.

So yeah, dudes can cook just as good as girls, if not better, lol .

I can do lots of cooking on the grill, some on the gas stove, and usually all other non-heat foods. I actually prepare dinner for my family a few times each month. I just don't have too much variety

Yep, I can cook, and pretty well too. I cook all sorts of things, hamburgers, steaks, pasta, spaghetti, macaroni, brownies, cakes, all kinds of stuff. But I normally stick to the simple things.

I'm acceptable. No class-A chef, but I can do the basics.

I can't cook very well, however, as far as baking goes, I seem to have a natural talent for it. I guess I simply like making sweets and stuff because those kinds of food interest me more.


I've made several birthday cakes before by myself for friends, family and even myself. Just as good as the ones in the store if it were to sit. But completely fresh birthday cakes when they are still warm taste absolutely fantastic.
