So I know the site is undergoing some maintenance but thought maybe id be ok to try and play some games before geting ready for work, so woke up and started playin this RPG and spent 2 hours running aroung around leveling up, then i saw some dude asking a question and thought .....you know what ill help him out and tel him where to find what he was looking for....BIG MISTAKE  i clicked on the message panel and guess what...... the page crashed and yeah you guessed it the game crashed and all that work gone, Not to worry though as im sure when the sites back up and running properly ill get back to it and this time it will take a little less time to get back to where i was, o the internet is cruel sometimes

Happens to me oh so often. I've been playing a lot of RGR games since I became RGR Staff, so believe me when I say my un-saved data went down in the drains when I accidentally click on a new game of different nature, and the game crashes to be replaced by the other game, etc. 
It sucks, but it happens.

Yeah I know how you feel the page has been crashing a lot lately I think the hackers should grow up and get a life

It blows, I'll admit but the way I see it, the more we complain the more fuel we are putting on the fire. Sure, there are times we need to vent like now, but what we ultimately got to do is just keep on going and accept vizzed as it is now, with the issues. I'm not sure whether or not the hackers feeds off of our unity or our "woe is me" type comments. If it is the latter...

Don't get me wrong, I can definitely relate. I remember frequently on Pokemon I would train a Pokemon and forget to save, then I'm forced to turn off the game, or I am forced to leave it behind and the battery dies out. It happens on a lot of longer games actually. Exceptionally frustrating, especially if I completed a gym or harder part of the game just prior, but hey. As well, I own a copy of The Legend of Dragoon, but it is in bad condition. I intend to hunt down a good condition copy for myself again when funding and circumstance fits my needs, but for now I'm stuck with this copy. Ultimately, in two of the disks I experience crashes at certain points and it infuriates me. Actually, as I am typing this message, the browser crashed (thank you developers for Google Chrome saving your closed tabs exactly as you left them).

I think we should focus on games that don't require much power-leveling or similar until we get word that the site is at normal capacity, so if it crashes our loss wouldn't be so bad. As well, it is a great opportunity to play Tetris with the song "The complete history of the soviet union through the eyes of the humble worker arranged to the melody of tetris" playing in the background. 

Sorry to hear that you lost, but Redrune pretty much summed up what I was about to say. There is only so much we can do at the moment, but hopefully the issues will be resolved soon.

OUCH i know how you feel dont worry, i think the cyber world just tries to annoy everybody in general whether its in games or when your writing an essay or report spending ageson it only for the computer to crash. Your taking it well though i wish i had your calm attitude lol by this point i'd be like grrrrrrr and take it out on my cushions so well done :p

(Angel side) Well the way I look at it is like this, I will probably not bother playing that game for a few days as still kind a mad about it, but after a while ill be wanting to find out what happens next so will have to go back and re do all the work , the only bonus to it is that I can skip half of it as I now know its a waste and concentrate on the important part,
 
(Devil side)what a waste of time never going to play that stupid game again, cant believe that happened , Agggggggghhhhhhh (throws chair against the wall) what a way to crash trying to help others , never gonna help any one else again !!!!!!

But we all know what will happen "as I'm so lucky" , ill be playing again the same game at the same part and the same dude will will ask me where the secret power something something is and ill click on the message board again AND............................Boom back to square one :/

I know how you feel.  It happens to me when I'm writing my story using microsoft office on the browser.  I get on a role and if I don't remember to save often the site will either crash when I save, power goes out, or I accidently close it without saving.....  Ya one time I did 5 whole scenes and none of it got saved....  Oh the head ach I had after that.

Don't get me wrong the site still rocks and lucky to be a part of this gaming community, I think the guy running it is doing a wicked job, I was just pointing out one instance of the o so cruel cyber world, many other site are out there that have ****** me off lately with poor performance, but live and let live

I sometimes forget to save even when I'm not playing in the RGR! I've learned to keep savestates often so that if something goes wrong, in the game or technically, then I have a backup to start from. Believe me, it's terrible to work for all of the levels you've lost for.

Man, I know how you feel, it happened to me a few times and it really ticked me off some times. But not worth like crying over spilled milk, but it is a pain to get back where you were

To look on the bright side, the need to redo was not your fault.  This one game I play I corrupted the save data by turning of the handheld as it was trying to save.  I intentionally turned it off, thinking I would avoid saving something I did not want.  I made this mistake twice.  

I hate to admit it, but cyber life can be unpleasing. You can get endangered on here if your not careful enough. Sorry if I sound to harsh. Anyways, you can get spammed, bullied/flamed, etc. The cyber world is a big place with lots of possible threats.

Unfortunately this sort of thing happens to everybody, but you just have to move on and try to forget about it.
