Well today something scary happened while I was on my bike.
I got nailed by a car. No joke. I was riding through an intersection and had a light to go. I then got hit by someone running a red. I am not hurt to bad but I have not / am not planning to tell my parents!
So that leads me to ask have you ever got hit by a car? If not believe me it is scary.
Be careful out there kids.

I haven't been hit by a car, but I know people who have. It's really a scary thing when it happens. Thankfully, I don't know anyone who's been killed by such an experience, but seeing how teenagers and even some parents drive, it's a scary world out there.

Yep, once. It wasn't severe, though, so it's all good. Here's the story how it happened to me.

I was biking, and as most of you people know, I'm deaf, so I wasn't focusing on the rear end of me.
A driver got mad, and tried to cross me, but at the same time, I spun around to turn to a different street.
BAM! I got hit, but I only toppled off, I weren't even scratched. I can't say the same thing with my bike, though... =P

As for me, no I've never been hit by car. Hard to believe I know, being as I live in New York with wild drivers literally EVERYWHERE. I have seen some hit and runs, fatalities, and people getting hit by cars or buses often.

Snowdeath : Wow I never knew you were deaf, well I never knew you at all but either way I could see how that could effect biking. I always think deaf people are so strong. How did you become deaf? Sorry if it's a touchy subject.

Well I wasn't driving but when I was 16 my family was heading up to my grandparent's house for thanksgiving.  At an intersection my dad had the right of way but coming from our left a car came speeding up towards us.  Thankfully my dad is an excellent driver and was able to just dodge the car.  The other car's front was right in front of my face!  That was scary!  I was almost dead that day if it wasn't for my dad's great driving skills!

Yes, I have. July 23rd, 2007. I was on my way home from work on my bike when I came to an intersection. The woman ran a stop sign and hit me dead on my right side and sent me about fifteen feet. An ambulance was called by a dickie dee ice cream guy and they looked me over. I had road rash and pebbles embedded into my flesh all over my arms, a wicked headache, my leg was literally black from being pinned between the car and my bike and my bike was toast. I refused to go to the hospital, because I was terrified. The EMT told me my skull could be fractured ( thankfully I was wearing a helmet) because of the depression going along the side of my skull. I still refused. Luckily, one of my bosses just happened to be driving by, and she gave me a ride home.

I actually did phone my mom right after it happened on my bosses cell and I must have been in shock because all I said was I'd be late because I was hit by a car (in what my boss described as a zombie voice) and I hung up. My Mom freaked.

To this day, I still have recurring pain all through my right leg, wrist and the right side of my head.

Anyway, I get freaked out whenever I come up to crosswalks, intersections, etc. I just don't trust motorists.

i voted yes on the poll but i dont know if this count as i was clipped it was damn scary though :/ i was in the hospital for a a day or two because it took alot of skin off my elbow a bit more than a clip tbh, gd times....

I myself got clipped on the right upper arm. The rear mirror of said vehicle popped off even. Couldn't move that part very well for a few days. Thankfully my backpack is bulky, and I think that cushioned some of the blow of the rear mirror. But if that clipped me, I was only inches away from being full dead on hit. Worst thing is, it was during a green light which told me I could walk across the road.
