I have one. It was the first system I had. I remember playing SMB3 and Duck Hunt when I was 4. I beat Zelda when I was 7. It was really fun. The best memory of video games I've ever had.

I don't have one but my dad does. The games are pretty good I especially like the Mario games besides the 2nd one. It took me awhile to finally learn how to get the game out of the Nintendo. I also think instead of discs we should just go back to the Nintendo's type of games.

I agree with dk we should go back to the cartridges instead of discs less problems all you had to do is clean them. but anyways i had when i was a kid i remember playing all the mario games, and duck hunt . my Favorite game was called monster party. I can remember going to my ncles house all the time and playing it. And i had one like three months ago and found my game i was in heaven for like a week then i beat it and quit playing it. good times though love the NES!!!!

I do, it is still in pretty good shape as well, I have classic Mario games, Mario 1 and 3, Metroid, Contra, etc. It still plays games pretty well.

I've still got my original NES, and I love it. I now use a system I bought called a Retro Duo (it's a top-loading system that plays both NES and SNES games) and I've been playing a lot of it lately. The game I've spent the most time on lately is Mega Man 2 (I've had it since I got my NES originally back in the early 90s, but I never played it much... It was always too hard for me when I was younger I guess)

The most fun I'd say that I had playing my NES when I was younger was playing Duck Hunt (putting the gun right against the screen when I played to guarantee I got the duck haha) and Super Mario Bros. (of course)

UserMike : The one reason I can think of is that owning an actual system makes it eligible for official contests and such, like speedruns. Sadly, I don't own an NES myself, so I can't submit any runs unless I get an actual console.

It's a great classic console. They have some great game and some not so great games. But doesn't all consoles? Anyway I find the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) a great device with some great games.. I wish they had a portable version of it but..well The controllers are a well easy, and basic. I enjoy the game play as much as I enjoy having the device in general.

Ever since I signed up to Viz ive always wanted a ones I love all these retro games although now I don't really need one because, you know... vizzed :p they're pretty expensive know surely? I was looking for fire red on Amazon and their like £80+ even used and they don't sell them at game or anyway I think they've become retro and valuable now so if a game boy advance game is now out of my price range I doubt ill be able to get anyway near affording a nes, still by the comments it seems like a timeless classic I NEED TO OWN wish me luck on my quest to get one :p
