Final Fantasy ?
What is my Most coveted ?
That's a hard question to answer.
I would love to state that number eight was the best, due to A personal date that marks a particular point in time for me. But between F.F.6 (the first one I completed.) F.F.4 (The first that got me interested or "Hooked".) F.F.7 (The one that made me finish no matter what.) and F.F.5 (The one that really had an "Impact" on my ability as a gamer.) ?
I have to go with the one my niece asked me to play time and time again.
The one that she asked me to read to her at night to go to sleep to.
That is Final Fantasy Number Four.
She loved "Cecil" and "Rosa" and "Kain".
She wanted to know who was who based on my voice alone.
Final Fantasy Four was the first time I got a kid to sleep knowing I was there to partake in the action.
It may be an odd bias, but I tend to favor the most effective of any product.
This game saved me many "a tireless night reading tales to a child" to sleep. It works for the kids and that's all I need.

Before I got FFXIII-2 I have not played a Final Fantasy game in years, so I do not really remember any of them besides FFXIII-2 (I got this game within the last 2 months). Only because of this I would have to say that FFXIII-2 is my favorite, but I'll have to wait and see when I go back and play the others.

I loved final fantasy 6. That game is a great game with a nice depth to it. The game has so many climaxes like as if it where a mountain rang. The game is a blast and I love it.

I'd have to say Final Fantasy 7. It's the only game that's ever made me literally gasp in shock at what happened-not just once, but in three separate places in the story-line. Amazing. I wish desperately they'd remake it with today's graphic capabilities-the cut scene with Sephiroth walking through the flames was so breath taking then..think about how beautiful it would be today. I can guarantee they'd sell like a bijillion copies...why won't they do it? Gah!

Definitely, hands-down, I say that Final Fantasy 7 is the greatest Final Fantasy of all time! My favorite characters are Cloud and Sephiroth. I like Tifa as well, but nothing beats the fierce intensity between Cloud and Sephiroth!

   When I think of "Final Fantasy"... that phrase, that idea, that mindset, I think of 1, 4 and 9. If I had to narrow it down to a favorite I would have to choose Final Fantasy IV (2 US). I will say that I'm not sure I think it's the best Final Fantasy, but it is my favorite. I seriously want a tattoo of Paladin Cecil defending against Dark Knight Cecil's attack.

For me, it's a toss up between FFVI and FFVII. <3 Both are amazing games in their own right. Personally, I lost interest in FF around FFX's release..  just wasn't doing anything for me anymore, besides the sparkly graphics.. But I don't think how a game looks makes up for how it plays. Crisis Core brought me back, and I did purchase FFXIII but again while the graphics was stunning, I wasn't too impressed with the gameplay. xD So FFVII first, because it was the game that brought me to into the RPG world, and filled so much of my childhood with inspiration. Then FFVI as a close second. Followed by all the other oldskool releases, Crisis Core somewhere in the middle, with the newer releases somewhere on the bottom. xD

FFX is my favorite, blitz ball is one of  the best mini games in a final fantasy game once you get the hang of it.
The sphere grid is a great way of leveling up and not to mention you got to control and level up your aeons.
