I don't see what is so bad about using a horse and carriage other than it might attract attention and it is more unique. But I would much rather prefer that then have to listen to people's obnoxious screaming for 10 hours. That is an easy way to get a headache. So I'd take the horse and carriage in a heartbeat.

I am not sure, I have never seen either one of them before, I think they are both pretty bad and if there was an option to slam my tongue into a car door I would take that option in a heartbeat. I am not 100% sure because I am not familiar with either one of them, but I am just going to go randomly and say the fallout series. I guess it all really depends on which suits your style more. Never played either one of them though. Not really my thing.
