In my opinion, the best item is something you get indirectly: the bomb arrows in Twilight Princess (and in Link's Awakening, if you know how to do it). They made me feel like I had a rocket launcher, even though they were Zelda games.

I always wore the Zora Tunic throughout the game just cause I like the color blue.
