Only 100,000,000 more to go until we hit the billion.

Hard to believe that when this thread was made so many years ago that we were just hitting 100,000,000.

Vizzed has really exploded the last few years.

We've already hit 900,000,000 views! This is actually a bigger number than you'd expect, honestly. I can't wait until we earn 100,000,000 more views! Sadly, I missed the achievement of 800,000,000, sadly. I don't think I could stick around for 700,000,000. Anyways...

No kidding this site is going nuts in the amount of views, I estimate in about 2 or 3 months we should probably have the 1 billion, I am not completely sure of an estimate, but we will reach it pretty soon believe it or not. Looks like this thread hasn't really had any new replies lately, but with this achievement of 900 million, I am sure this thread will get a lot more replies. Looks like we only need 99,750,766 more views to go until we reach the big 1 billion, we will be there before you know it! There should be a celebration for this because that is an enormous achievement. 

   Honestly, I had just noticed the 900,000,000 views of Vizzed before discovering this thread. What a coincidence! Anyways, David, it seems you have really outdone yourself with this website. I cannot wait until Vizzed reaches 1,000,000,000 views! That will be the achievement of a lifetime for this website. Anyways, keep up the great work as our "boss man!"

To be honest, I did not expect to get 900 million views at this time, and I don't really mean it in a good way. I really thought we would have hit the 9 million mark a while back. I thought 900 would be hit sometime before Christmas and that the big 1 billion would be reached about halfway through January.

The way I see it now, I'm guessing that the site is averaging about a million views per day, so at that rate, 1 billion wouldn't be hit until March, but because of the TDV, the number could sky rocket to as much as twice as much, meaning two to two and a half million views per day. Because of this, I expect to hit 1 billion sometime in March, but we could reach it as early as the first part of February if we are lucky and get more active members.

Let's also not forget about 1 million posts and 500,000 members which we could both hit either later in January, or during the first part of February, again if we are lucky.

I think I have a feeling that the next TdV (Spring 2014) it will hit the billion mark, because if I remember, the last 2 TdVs, we hit a milestone (700,000,000 views in July and 800,000,000 in October), so I think this coming April (or maybe late March) we will reach that big billion number.

We have just hit right above the 900,000,000 views mark on the thing up on the top near the retro game rom thing. It is really cool to have that many! I came when it was really low.

Davideo7 : Seeing as the billion view mark is coming up soon, do you have any plans for some sort of a celebration? Now would be a perfect time to get one of those shirts up, or something. I don't know how online celebrations work, but I'm sure you can think of something big. Now that we have Audio/Video in chat, I was also thinking we could have a big conversation for the event, or maybe do some sort of a broadcast highlighting the best vizzed moments.

zanderlex : I don't have any plans but if anyone has any good suggestions on things I could do, I'd consider them.

I suppose I could spend a day in the chat room during the day that we'd be expected to hit the goal. I'd spend that time letting users ask me about the site in general and to just hang out with me.

Man, I remember watching the 800,000,000 for a long time waiting for 900,000,000.. These 100,000,000 have been going by fast! So, what does the user who posts post 1,000,000 get?

We've got some big milestones coming up.

-1,000,000,000 (that's right, 1 billion) views is coming up soon, probably within 6 days (I do have something planned for that).

-1,000,000 posts is coming up soon, probably before the month ends.

-500,000 users is coming up, probably within 6 months.

-And than a personal milestone of 2,000,000 posted words!

Well, I've recently hit 100 posts, still a bit of a newbie ha ha.
Also, I recently wrote my first review, so I guess that could count as a milestone.

I was curious what vizzed is ranked on that site now, and if the 1 billion views had any impact.
