The Wii 2 controller has been revealed, look a bit similar to the Dreamcast interactive controller from the video? (more info on the Wii to here).

I got the Dreamcast when it came out. LOVED it. It still holds that sentimental spot in me that none of the other systems have been able to do. That is because lot of my all time favorites were from this system. I agree it just came out at the wrong time. It was WAY better than the PS2 (I have one).

I know that Dreamcast 2 will probably never happen and it is just a fan based dream. And I have been apart of Vizzed for a short time and have only began starting my posts, and I have talked about the Shenmue saga on a few of them already. But I want it to happen specifically for that third installment to be made. Also, I want them to continue the Sonic Adventure storyline in as good of depth and thought as the first 2 games had. The Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog games started that snowball effect where they have a good idea for a story, but developed it like they had 24 hours to make the story. It is sad that my favorite system had to have a short life without the appreciation it deserved. If it weren't for Kingdom Hearts, I would never have bought a PS2 because they made me mad by overshadowing it.

After rereading a few posts, a lot of points brought up made me sad. Obviously, bringing in a new console in the middle of the console generation would be suicide. I think Sega wouldn't want to make the same mistake again by releasing a system at the wrong time. As much as the may or may not WANT to make a Dreamcast 2, I don't think they are willing to risk it. Given that Dreamcast had such a short life, most people never even played one. If they came out with a Dreamcast 2, do they think people who didn't bother with the first actually buy it. If I were one of those people, my mind setting would probably be something like "Dreamcast 2? The first one obviously sucked if it died so quick. Why bother with the next one?". Honestly, if the Playstation weren't so popular, there wouldn't be near as many people bothering to buy the sequel systems. But despite all that, I will still keep that glimmer of hope that Sega has some ingenious plan to bring this out.

Just wondering, if Dreamcast 2 came out, what game would you want to see come out for it (obviously I'm talking sequels to Dreamcast games)?

I just noticed how unreal the trailer looked. I mean it's like a slideshow Plus a lot of the comments on the video are saying it's fake. Even if it was real wouldn't it have came out by now

I guess it could be real, I wouldn't get any new consoles anyway even if it were.

Thanks for sharing this with us. This could possibly be fake. I don't think a presentation or an employees presentation would have such yelling and cheering in the end.

I remember the dumb rumors about it being release back in 9/9/09 but most ppl didnt believe that.I play the dreamcast back in 1998 no one didnt even bother touching it at game stores one was carriers,VF3 and a flying game.these was at seperate stores.  Dreamcast release  was 9/9/99 so when was it release in japan?

SEGA made an announcement saying that they aren't going to make it. It would ruin the relationship of launching Sonic games on PS3, 360, etc. and that they don't want to lose the competition.

I would have gotten it if it did come out, though.

Is not a bad idea to make a new Dreamcast, but when SEGA have made consoles, they fail, except the Genesis.

Man, I wish that someday that Sega would make a new Dreamcast and a line of games for it. There isn't a whole lot to say about the Dreamcast but probably still one of my favorite game systems of today. I still play Sonic Adventure and just hope Sega could fulfill my long forbidden dream.
Right now, all we have is the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3
Plus, The PS-Vita and WiiU

This is so insanely unlikely, because the Dreamcast was basically a commercial flop. With that being said I think a 2 would be cool

wow that looks so awsome but it looks alot like the wii u but still it looks likes alot of fun and whenit is at e3 im so saveing my money up for it.
