I was at school today and I noticed that Vizzed was blocked. It said that: This site has been classified as: Games, Web Chat.

It doesn't seem right to block stuff because it involves games and chat.

Is it right or is it wrong?

I think I remember there being a thread already about this same thing, I'm not sure so if I there is I will have to close this one, sorry if I do. But I think it's right for the simple fact your in school not to learn, now I don't believe that all game and chat sites should be blocked because there can be of educational value from some but there really isn't a strong need for you to be on vizzed at school, your not missing out on anything that you can't do on vizzed after school unless you don't have a computer that is...

yeah, I think internet access at school should be very limited. How much access do you actually need? The school can't have you accessing things you're not supposed to.... their policy is probably ban it even if it's not likely to be a problem.... just better to be safe than sorry.

In my school Vizzedboard wasn't blocked, I think that in some schools they don't know a site such as Vizzedboard exists. I have to view from the school like everyone else in this thread, school is learning and work not playing most of the time except if the teacher says you can play games on the computer when you are done with you classwork.

My school on blocks sites with pornographic material or that are for dating. Facebook isn't blocked, neither is myspace or twitter. So, vizzed isn't blocked. They depend on the teachers to make sure that the kids are on task, while protecting them from the accidental pop up or whatever that may be offensive.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
