I'm looking out my window right now, and I gotta say, I don't like what I'm seeing.

The visualization of snow that people have when they haven't experienced it is one of wonder, beauty, and a peaceful change of environment. Don't get me wrong, I still see all of those things and photograph cool icicles when I see them, but the difficulty in traveling and the labor involved in removing it is the harsher reality to living with it.

How do you feel about snow? Do you get it where you're from? Is it a positive or a negative for you?

I am actually indifferent about snow. I'm from the South so down here we do not see that much snow. We often have rain. If we get any winter weather at all its usually ice, which is a huge problem. Ice (freezing rain) can break power lines and can cause problems on the roads.

When we have gotten snow it has been pretty. Especially the snow on the trees. On the other hand, after the month of January I'm ready for there to not be any snow.

I mean for the first few times it’s nice to see snow and all but after like the fourth or fifth time I just want it gone because icy roads and such. It’s a beautiful sight yes but the drawbacks aren’t worth it in a work minded environment

As a southerner, I love snow. We get it so rarely that its always a treat, I can't remember the last time we had substantial snowfall though. This winter, just before Christmas when it got down to like 8 degrees, we had maybe a 1/4 inch of snow, and it was only on select surfaces and was in the middle of the night.

The only time we've gotten more than half an inch that I can remember it shut down the whole city. I still had fun though, I was much younger and didn't care about going anywhere other than playing in the snow. I certainly understand how it can get tiresome to always have snow outside in the north, but as long as I live in the south I will always welcome a nice snowfall.

I do like snow but I hate cold temperatures, so I'm actually happy I don't get snow where I live.

The times I've seen snow, either in travels to snowy zones or rare snowfalls happening here (more often than not with hail included), I have enjoyed its sight and all its goodies. Once it freezes it's not as funny, because you see yourself struggling to stand up firmly and amidst the city it can get a bit dangerous.

So many people around me would wish to live on a colder country, and I must say I'd follow them despite my trouble against cold. After all, it's easier to combat cold than heat, but for now and for a decent while I'll remain over here, close to the Mediterranean sea with all its humidity and scorching spring-to-fall heat, seeing ecstatically the very rare instances of non-rain downpours.

Snow is cold.

Id much rather prefer it snowed all year round than have any rain. I hate rain but I guess you could say that I'm pretty indifferent to snow other than when it gets too hard to do stuff when there's too much.

I despise the cold. I'm so sensitive to it, that I feel chilly outside even when it's only 70F. In fact, my parents used to live in more Northern States before they were married, but after me and my brother were born, they realized we absolutely can't stand it there. It was so bad, brother needed an inhaler, and I was constantly coughing. It was when I was 6 when they finally decided to move to the Sunshine State; and ever since, we've been much healthier. My brother doesn't need his inhaler anymore, and I don't constantly cough all the time. I give a big middle finger to anywhere that regularly goes below 60F. It's unbearable for me.

I live in a mild climate that only gets one or two big snows a year, so snow is really special when it comes. I love walking in the snow, listening to the snow crunches and winter breezes, admiring how the snow makes everything white and quiet, watching the snow dance around in the wind. Yeah, don't get me wrong, I know how snow can outstay its welcome in colder climates and even around here there have been times where I've had to shovel out the driveway and such, but there's something so poetic about snow.

I love snow! A lot of people I know hate snow but I love it. I don’t go out in it like when I was a kid but I at least like looking at it and I’ll take the temperatures of that time of the year over summer which is the season we’re in as of the making of this post.

MrKokoPudgeFudge: I hate that you had to go through that. I have a friend who has cold urticaria which is basically being allergic to the cold, do you know if you have that?

I have grown to enjoy cold weather more this winter. When I run in the cold I feel more of a sense of accomplishment and it makes me feel more alive even though some of my body feels dead because of numbness. It has definitely helped me with my seasonal depression during the winter months.
