I was 12 years old when I made my account on this site. Now, I'm 22. Some bad choices were made since that time, and some great choices were made. One of the best decisions I've made was to stick around this community. I've found a small group of likeminded people around my age that were experiencing life at different paces all over the world.
Though my views now greatly contrast the majority of opinion on this site, I can safely say that I've become a much more understanding person through my time here. Having been a mod here during some of the site's biggest peaks, I've dealt with many moral dilemmas and realized how volunteer roles can lead to some good experience. Having taken a note from my time moderating here, I landed a freelance position at one of the biggest Nintendo news sites on the internet. Though I may not be writing for them at this time, I would never have made the attempt if not for the things that only an online community like Vizzed, with its immense catalog of interesting features, could teach about other people, writing skills, photo editing, basic programming, and many more things that are best learned with other people. The common bond being video games, namely the retro kind, but of course, we're all cut from the same cloth to have ended up on, what I initially joined for, a flexible way to play any retro game online. What was a child's desire to play Smash Bros. at school has become my greatest tool for development. My username has gone from a white-ish teal color to a slowly deepening green. I never thought that would happen. This is my 12,156th post, and my 1165th thread. I have put so much time into this website that I know its entire public history. I've gone back and read most of the old posts and have gone through so many wayback machine timelines learning more about this website in my teens, its inception, the people that started it, the personalities that clashed, and all sorts of other websites that have attempted to do what this place has. Thank you, Vizzed. And, as with all milestone threads revolving around Vizzed, I need to give the biggest thank you to Davideo7 : for making this website and holding true to his vision for it. You have shown me the importance of dedication and perseverance through any of life's obstacles. The story of your life I've read throughout my time on this website has been the key motivator to work in the tech industry. You have created your own online ecosystem and have maintained it through many hardships out of pure love for your craft. You maintain a friendly and positive attitude no matter the hours you're working or the stress that forces internal and external alike place on a webmaster, and the vibe and aesthetic of your art is unique and perfectly placed for the community you've built. You have been one of my key inspirational people, a down to earth, on the same level as everybody else, living case that no self help guide or politician can provide. I'm gonna name the people that I've been influenced by the most through my time here. May it be as a close friend, or as somebody whose thought and way of life made me reconsider my own, or hold greater regard to those who differ. These people have all had incredible impact on me. Their personalities, identities, and characteristics are a melting pot of the average gamer, and they've shown deep interest in their hobbies, but also a keen interest on those around them. I know some of them are banned or haven't logged in within the past several years, but some of their humor, opinions, and humanity shines through their history. While some of them may not have departed on the best of terms here, for several different reasons, many of them, at some point, were a true representation of what it means to be an active member in a community. pennylessz : Nksor : Minuano : geeogree : Rasenganfan1: zanderlex : legacyme3 : Choko453 : MegaRevolution1 : hypermonkey : Robert7 : Light Knight : sonicmcmuffin : Dragon master : merf : septembern : big fat cat : Kopeck : DarkHyren : Crono : jmc1097 : noelia : JusTReaL : Annette : Vizzed Ghostblood : Cyro Xero : bigNATE : drag00n365 : UserMike : YourMajestyKen : Totts : xfighter1138 : ibock: Though my views now greatly contrast the majority of opinion on this site, I can safely say that I've become a much more understanding person through my time here. Ten years is a hell of a long time, man. I just hit it myself a couple months back. It's still pretty surreal knowing I've spent *literally* half my life with an account here. We who have stuck around for so long are far and few in between. A lot of the names you summoned really brought back some happy memories for me from several years back.
That being said, I remember a lot of our time together even if it has been a quite a few years since we last spoke personally. I've always enjoyed having you around, and was happy to see your name pop back up on the active members list recently. I'm glad you are around to see your own decade milestone. Here's to more. Your summons list looks very close to what my own would look like when I eventually make my own 10 years post, which will be... later this year? What the s***?
The fact I still remember 95% of those names (the 5% I don't were gone by the time I arrived) shows the common bond we all share as 2010 babies. I bet today's posters can't come up with a list like that, without dipping into the same list of names! Congrats on wasting a decade with us, Alex. Here's to wasting another decade! As Leggy said, I remember nearly everyone on that list. I am envious that you took the time to summon them all, as my thread was a tapestry of chaos. I suppose that's what having a writing job does for you.

Happy ten years dude. I always remember the fact that you like registered 3 days before me lol.
As for all the users you summoned i remember all of them except for 2, and that might be because i wasn't overly active on the site for the first year i was here. Regardless it's amazing to see how many people are celebrating 10 years here and by that i mean users that were active for at least half of that time or people i'd consider to have an impact on this site for better or worse. Let's hope we can enjoy the remaining years to come.
