So I have been offline for QUITE some time, my friends. 
I remember a time before the chat overhaul when the chatrooms were hosted by a separate site, and it was always poppin.

I've been checking chat daily, and it is always empty. Does this mean chat has the mega dead?
And if so, how long have I been out of the loop? Is there a cure?

I miss shooting the breeze with my fellow mailmen if you catch my drift.

Yeah, the chatrooms don't see any activity anymore. We've basically moved to a Discord server. You're free to join that and chat to your heart's content! The link to it should be posted in a stickied thread in General Chat.

I've been gone for a lengthy amount of time as well, but I can say that sometime between August 2016 (when I left Vizzed) to April 2018 (when I returned to Vizzed), David discontinued the 123FlashChat, and migrated to the Discord Chat, which Minuano mentioned above.

To give some more background: Speaking as the acting chat manager at the time of it happening, the server hosting flash chat was shut down which is why the site chat had to migrate somewhere else. David created a new chat service native to the site but people didn't particularly take to it for various reasons. Someone else on staff had the idea of making a discord channel which took off and quickly drained what little activity the new site chat had. I think the truth is that it's simply more convenient for most people.
