I was just recently trying to type in a comment on someone's profile and if I didn't type it in fast enough it auto-deletes itself out of the box. Can anyone else verify this issue and find out if it's not just me?

Yep, I have this problem everywhere and probably everyone else too (if they type in something and wait long enough without submitting it, it'll erase everything in the text box).

geeogree : Have you tried typing in the text box and waiting a short while before submitting? (like don't type and submit it quickly) EDIT: Nevermind, posted that result a few moments right before I posted...

It's intended to be a feature where all widgets (including profile comments) auto-updates without having to refresh the entire page. But it also auto-refreshes the text box which erases anything you've typed in before submitting.

It's pretty annoying and I hope it gets fixed, but maybe a low-priority issue so maybe type in notepad then copy/paste for now?

m0ssb3rg935 : It'd be nice though if it can refresh the comments but not the text box itself. (so it doesn't erase what you've typed) But I guess less frequent refreshes would be a good workaround if it was possible.

I noticed this problem too, happened to me several times. Hopefully it is fixed soon as it is quite annoying typing something thoughtful only to have it disappear before you can click submit.

I've also noticed. Doesn't seem to be any sort of timer, just will randomly decide to wipe the comment. Sort of annoying but I've gotten over it mostly, as if I decide to write something thoughtful to someone I'd rather do it in a private message anyway. Don't really have an issue re-writing a joke, lol. More laughs for me

I’ve actually had the issue when the text seems to disappear but when I post I find out that it is there in addition to what I retyped. After one very awkward moment, I came to realize the issue can be more than the text disappearing.
