As I and a lot of other people have suspected, they did reveal a Modern Sonic game. After I watched this, I was so confused, but hyped nontheless. It's not Generations 2, but I would like to know why and how Classic Sonic is there. Seriously, though, I'm really excited. Hopefully I can get one of the consoles it's for, because I'm pretty sure it won't run on my computer. What do you all think about this?

Well, I have some hope that this will be a good Sonic game because after the debacle that was Sonic Boom, SEGA can't afford to put out another crappy game in the Sonic series. If I do eventually get it, it'll either be the PS4 or NX version. I'll be buying both systems, so I guess I'll make my decision once Nintendo actually decides to show the NX and finally give us an official name for the console. What games will be coming out early in the NX's lifespan will give me an idea of whether to buy the PS4 or NX version of the new Sonic title, if I even get it.

This looks rather interesting and promising....maybe it will fix the long line of sonic games before previously which wasn't so good? I agree what leggy has to say wait until the reviews are done for this game. I really hope for this to be a great game to play. If so I will find a way to play this thank you for doing this type of thread. Since the fans are pretty much been upset how the games have been as of late. So maybe for this one it would be worth to play? We can only wait hope and see what happens.

In all seriousness, this could obviously go either way. The fact they showed Zero game play, not even just a couple seconds, leaves me really curious more than anything. I mean I really want to know what the game play is like more than anything, since that determines for the most part how good of a game it will be.
And the set up for the story is just as vague, meaning it could also go either way in my eyes. For all we know, it could be the most cliché and played out plot line that's no different than a hundred or more games we've seen in the past. The only thing here that came off as interesting to me is the fact that there's 2 different Sonics, but at the same time, hasn't this idea been done once already?

WOW! Looks totally epic! Hopefully this will be even better than my first and favorite sonic game, Sonic Colors. I know a lot of people say that a lot of the sonic games aren't that great. But, I'm not sure I get it. With sonic colors as my favorite, Sonic and the black knight makes for a close runners up. Yeah, I know it's corny, it's silly and sonic gets a sword when he doesn't need it. That's why it's so awesome! It changes what you would typically expect from a sonic game, but i guess change isn't something that's always all that welcome.

maybe we didn't get sonic adventure 3 but we got sonic generations 2

As long as they do not have the 2006 team working on it,it should be decent. I do have a trial of Sonic 4 for PS3 and it works well enough.

I'm really hoping Sega hits it out of the park with this one.I love the death-egg robos and tclassic sonic's return.Seems like they may be bringing back an actual overarching plot into the series.I'm also cool with the darker, edgier vibe going on here.Though I know most people won't like it, I think it's about time Sega got at least a bit more serious after Lost world and Sonic Boom.All in all, I'm cautiously optimistic about this.

Also, if this is any indication of what a Sonic movie will be like, I'm all in for that.

Man, I have really high hopes for this game and Sonic Mania, but to be honest, I am more hyped for this one. Because more of a Modern fan myself, I don't think Sonic will fail with this new game.

It doesn't mean this will be as good as any of those games but it does mean that they at least seem to recognize now that games like that are what most fans want and are striving to create something like it.
