Never in my life have I completed a zelda game. I've played Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, Link's Awakening, but I just can't do it. I've been working most on Ocarina of Time. I'm up to the Fire temple, but I don't even know how to get inside the Fire temple. If you think that's bad, it gets worse. I didn't know how to get out of Kakariko Village! Somehow I find the temples easier than the actual game! I've never been able to complete a zelda game, I get absolutely lost. I know about zelda, just not how to complete the game! I would say more but I don't have much else to say.

That's not really a big deal, aside for maybe a Pokémon game or two and guardians crusade, I've never fully beat any game that I have ever played. Once I have played a game for a really long time, I just can't seem to get to the end.

This is not strange at all. I have multiple Legend of Zelda games but have not managed to beat even one. They are some of the hardest and most confusing games out there. The first time that I played Ocarina of Time, I did not even know how to get out of the starting village and had an extremely hard time with the Deku Tree level.

Mario0908 : Like everyone else who's commented on this has said, it's not strange that you've never beaten a Legend of Zelda game. Those games can get tricky especially when it involves a tough puzzle. I guess the only thing I'd suggest is when you're having a tough time, take a break from the game and play another game. Once you've calmed down, then try again and maybe you'll be able to progress further. I hope that what I've said will be helpful to you.

Up until last month the only Zelda games I had beaten were the handheld ones. I finally beat Majora's Mask last night on 3DS. Don't feel bad about this, these games are really challenging. If you just walk past one thing on the ground or something, it'll throw you all off. I have played a few Zelda games, never really gotten into them, but I've never beaten any of them.

When I was younger, I couldn't beat a Zelda game to save my life. The first dungeon in Wind Waker seemed to be the most difficult, frustrating thing in any video game ever to me. Now I don't struggle with it much. Don't feel bad. Perhaps one day you'll be able to play these games. If you can't now, don't worry about it. Maybe you should put them to the side for now until you've developed certain skills. Then, when you come back, those skills may enable you to clear things you weren't able to before. Zelda requires a good deal of critical thinking to succeed. The 2D Zeldas may be easier for you, and might help you clear a 3D one, like Skyward Sword.

As for the feeling like an idiot, I KNOW THE FEELING. I used to feel the same. It's not uncommon. But don't let your frustrations push you to feeling like you're an idiot. One day you'll do better, and on that day, you'll be happy you stepped back for a while in order to fully enjoy the games you play.
