I cheer for Gonzaga like most of my immediate family. I think it's because it is the closest college/university that is in the NCAA to where I live. I don't really have any other reason.

I root for Florida State basketball because I'm a Florida State Seminole fan in general. Last season was a disappointment, but I did enjoy their ACC championship the year before. I'm hoping that they'll get back on pace and win some more games next season. Losing in the first round of the NIT is silly.
