This is a quote from the musical "Hamilton." It's sung by Alexander Hamilton in the song "Hurricane" (I strongly recommend this musical to everyone, because it's the BEST!) 


The reason I choose this quote is it just screams that whenever you have lost your way, whenever you are in a bad situation, you will always be able to rely on yourself to help you through it. No matter the situation, you'll always be strong enough to help yourself; no matter how bleak it seems. I have always been a strong believer in helping yourself and not relying heavily on other people, so this quote also reflects my personal beliefs about humans and what they should do. 

My favorite quote is the main theme of the movie Interstellar and is also parodied in Independence Day. The actual quote itself is the first few lines of a famous poem from 60 years ago.

Do not go gentle into that good night,

In Interstellar it's a huge theme of survival and moving forward.

Another quote, which delves into the dark side of the historical quote path is:

I like this quote, because I agree with it a lot. The world is an eternal struggle, and you have to fight everyday just to survive. You either have to fight physically, mentally, or emotionally. But, someway or another, you have to fight everyday, so you can survive. So, if you can't fight everyday, if you refuse to fight everyday, you don't deserve to have the life you're given. The least you should be willing to do to survive is to fight,  if you can't fight for survival, you can't survive. This has always been a law of nature, and it is true, even with humans.

It's a great philosophy. It tells you to not envy another, because you will only destroy. Envy will never help you, it will only destroy you. SO, never be envious of another. You can look at other people's accomplishments, but don't become envious.
