I'm testing out infolinks again but this time it'll only be applied to posts and in the text of the page description of each page.

For those unfamiliar with infolinks, what it does is it finds random keywords throughout a page and turns it into an ad link. I've also enabled the "inarticle" option which basically makes a ad open up randomly in between big chunks of text. To make up for this, I've removed the ad that appears between the 1st and 2nd post for the time being.

I'll probably have this going for a little while and if it doesn't pay very good, I'll get rid of it. If it pays real well, I'll most likely keep it but make alterations.

Oh, that explains it. I was just about to make a thread because I opened one and a windows error message came up about a virus on my computer. It was just Chrome though. I will be sure to not click those from now on.

Patrick Star : That's one of those false virus report pages. They tell you that you have a virus when you really don't.

Probably a good idea to avoid clicking those links.

Phew! I'm glad you made this clarification because I was starting to worry and think there would be an issue with my computer.

I thought it had something to do with the browser I was using lol. I haven't had much access to my Toshiba recently so I'm on an old Acer Aspire One running Precise Puppy Linux from a flash drive because the hard disk died. Had e fooled. I actually didn't now that these kinds of ads existed.

For some reason infolinks never really bother me so I'm glad they were added. They shouldn't become too much of an inconvenience for other users either unless they click on them and fall for the fake virus message

m0ssb3rg935 : Infolinks have existed for a long time, I remember seeing them on different websites several years ago. They probably aren't as common as they used to be though.

Pacman+Mariofan : It was a little a little annoying at first, but I think that's because I didn't know why they were there. It's actually really cool how it makes it where there's a whole lot of ads on the page without lagging anything.

Sorry for bump but am here to report that I'm not seeing infolinks anywhere. Were they removed or am I completely missing them?
