I made an unsuccessful try to beat my own score because I was so bored, but I was unable to get any better. I've reached a point where I'd need some time to explore and analyze the bonus stage, and clearly I don't have such time. Anyway, being the 2nd highest score in a game and franchise I never played is an almost perfect way to start the competition.

I must admit I'm excited for the next challenge. It's been a surprise to get such a high score, and I want to do even better in the next one. It will be a busy week for me because of +30 games being released for Sony systems, so I'll need a few distractions to relieve stress.

Sorry! I got it now. Star Fox competition seems a lot trickier than I'd imagined. Maybe if I keep trying within the next hour I'll get somewhere.

- You get 48 hours before you are allowed to vote. Use this time to convince your tribe why you should stay/why someone else should go, and build alliances.
- Once the 48 hours are up (Will be Monday night at 12 AM) you will send in your vote. You will have 48 hours to vote. Essentially, if for whatever reason, you cannot vote between Monday night and Wednesday night, let me know, and send in your vote then. I would prefer if you played according to the timeline, however.

First sent out will be the clue to the correct tribe. Then the confessionals (which will start from the top and go to the bottom.

EDIT - and before anyone gets to thinking this is how long it will be every time, that is not the case. This will be the only time there are 96 hours in a "voting" cycle. Every voting cycle after this one will be only 48 hours total. The only reason this one is twice as long is to give everyone a chance to build an initial alliance if they choose.

Don't think of me as pessimistic, but in the very first challenge I already experience the disadvantage of time zones. True is that I'm not alone in this quest, but still I can't help but feel a bit powerless for not being able to fight back in the last hours of the challenge. It would have made no change this time because pacman beat me by a high margin, though.

I'm quite happy that we pushed Narr to their very limits in order to avoid tribal council. Even with that mad-dash, less than 4k points made the difference, so kind of a close call there. Still sad that our tribe will lose one member, but we weren't heavily outclassed as most of us thought would happen, and we always must preserve the positive aspects no matter the situation.

Well, I'm amazed that I scored the most points out of everyone this week because I actually hadn't played the original Star Fox before this week. I had played Star Fox 64 and 64 3D, but that's about it as far as Star Fox goes. It'll be interesting to see what other challenges are in store, and it'll be interesting to see who ends up being the first person voted out of Vizzed Survivor 2. I'm just glad it won't be anyone on Harte Arbeit.

My only suggestion to curb the time zone issue is to push the deadline to ET, but then I have no guarantee I'd be online to enforce it. Living on the west coast of the states, looking forward to a specific time is easier when I can just look at the bottom left corner of my screen haha.

If moving it back a few hours would help I'm open to that in the future.

legacyme3 : Moving it back could work, but it would have to be for several hours. This time, the deadline was around 9 AM for me, so we should push it back like 5 hours at the very least.

I'm also not so sure it can bring any difference. True is that I needed just a few thousand points, but it's very easy to talk AFTER things happen. If we keep the deadline and next time we win or lose by a big margin, then it's clear there's no point in making any change.

Furret : As the other European representative that I know of, may I have your opinion on this?

There is no time that works for everyone and as RUKX said, it's still do-able.

I have no problem either, but it's just the fact of getting backstabbed because I'm sleeping and others still haven't reached dinner time. My score is set since a lot of hours before the deadline and most of my competitors still have more than half a day to compete.

The problem of making sure nobody can snap you is that you need a staggering score, just like gamer did. Hell, even I got a score that only two could surpass, so it's not like I performed badly. I just can't shake off the feeling that I'm the easiest wall for all to surpass and I can't do anything to respond back when everybody goes mad for their last try.

The best defense against last minute scoring is a good offense.

If you put up your best possible score in the first two days, and keep trying to add to it, it becomes that much harder for the last minute scrambler to win.

In this example, I was monitoring pacman's submissions over the course of the last hour of the day. He went from his team being like 60k down, to his team being 10k down, to being 3k down, to being 3k up, all of this being on top of his average to begin with score.

It's not a good idea to rely on last minute offense, generally. This time, it worked, barely.

Had even one of EX Palen, Blubcreator, or Patrick Star scored 10k more points over the week, I have no doubts that they wouldn't be voting someone off. Had Maguc even participated, it's likewise.

Now, back to being in character...

Given the confessionals I've gotten back, I see no reason to delay the first voting phase like I had initially hoped. Once midnight PT strikes, players from the Aufrichtigkeit tribe will be allowed to vote, for the next 48 hours.

I will probably send you guys PMs to let you know it is time to vote. Make sure you have gotten your confessionals in. Once the votes have been tallied, we will jump into our next challenge.

For everyone who isn't in that tribe, only about 48 more hours till the next update. Again, make sure to get to your confessionals!

Tribal council is held differently this season. Essentially, like in the show, the contestants will not know the results of tribal down to the individual vote. Only those at the Tribal Council will get a PM about the events at Tribal Council. For details, ask me.

One catch.

If you have a score in this game to begin with (like pacman1755), you must get a new score. I will be checking time stamps. Only scores in October of 2016 count.

Two catches.

Since one tribe has only 3 members, the other two tribes must sit somebody out. The same person cannot sit out back to back challenges. Meaning if pacman1755 sits this challenge out, he must compete in the next one. Challenge sit out is first come, first serve, and you must announce if you will sit out before you make an attempt at the score. If no one from the tribe steps up and offers to sit out 24 hours from this post, I will choose one for you. A reminder that only Harte Arbeit and Narr gets to sit anyone out.

You cannot change your mind either. If pacman1755 is in the challenge, and doesn't put up a score in time, but yoshirulez! (who in this hypothetical sat out) DID put up a score, then pacman1755's 0 will count, not yoshirulez!'s 80,000. Choose wisely.
