Apparently today is Google's 18th birthday. I was surprised because I thought Google was way older than that. Another surprise was to learn that I am older than Google by about 1 year. I am 19. Google is like nerd's best friend. In an odd way Google is like a little brother to me.

It is the best tool there is; best friend; best advice; best dictionary; best way to look up reasons why you have a headache and go into instant depression because you may now have cancer; best interactive tools; best maps and directions. I love this darn thing and hope it stays around for a while.

18 years and they're still going strong...It's amazing what a couple of people who felt like making a search engine were able to create. They can't last forever, though, and I really wonder who can pick up the slack when Google finally comes tumbling down. Wasn't Google around for a brief time in the 30's as "THE" search engine for Germany. I think it was Germany googling How to lose world war II that cost them the war. I do know that Ask was the official search engine for the Korean war.
