Rearranged Ads on Mobile Devices

One of the things that I'm not currently monetizing very well are mobile devices. I'm testing out new ads for Cell Phones and Tablets. There will now be an ad toward the top and bottom of every page (tablets will have a 728x90 and cell phones 300x250).

I've removed the previous "snackbar" ad which would sometimes float toward the bottom of the screen. It didn't always display and when it did, it didn't always display properly. Plus it may have been annoying and potentially might have slowed down a user's device.

I'm hoping this change increase site revenue but we'll see. I'm not sure if the regular ads can be monetized on mobile devices but I'll know in a few days.

45% of the site users are on a mobile device but only 15% of the site's revenue comes from mobile devices (and that's a combination of the previous ad not displaying properly and only having 1 ad on the page). That definitely tells me that the site is missing out on a lot of potential revenue.

If this change doesn't help, I'll revert things back to how it was.

I always hated the ads that hover at the bottom of the screen. They obscure content, slow everything down to a crawl and I always accidentally click them when I'm scrolling. The way the ads are showing up in boxes now is a whole lot better. I honestly wouldn't care if you put ads at the top, bottom and between every ten posts as long as it doesn't get in the way. Though, I'm sure there are many who wouldn't be cool with it.

This change increased site revenue by around 10% which is quite amazing! So these ads are definitely here to stay.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
