Hello, hello.

I am currently working on a pretty big game for Vizzed. I'm working on it because i want to celebrate my 500 days and stuff and i just felt like giving Vizzed a gift: 'Monopoly Vizzed' is the name of the project. It's going to be a forum game where you need to use some of your Viz and perhaps win everything that's being traded. That's why i'm going to post it in the 'Viz Market' forum, not in 'Crazy House'. Currently, the board itself (Content hidden from non-Trusted users!) is work in progress. But i called out a lot of forums here: Newbie Forum, Art Forum and even 'That One Forum' is in it. Of course i give credit to Eirinn and Leggy for their forums when it's done. But now i need feedback. I need to know if you guys are in for the board game being on Vizzed, and ONLY on Vizzed. I'm not going to use the image elsewhere, as it's not going to turn out good for everyone then.

Anyway, what do you think about this Vizzed-exclusive board game? Is it a good idea or a bad idea? And do you have any suggestions?

By the way, i'm not able to show a picture. I can tell you i used David's profile picture's head to replace the figure on the actual board. It looks pretty funny. (Yes, i can work well with Paint.NET and Paint)

I love Monopoly so this to me sounds like a great idea! I think it is a must to have a unique game on Vizzed and since we are all Viz crazy it seems Monopoly would make the most sense- can't wait to  hear more about it. I like the idea of using the forums- I think it's better than having city names and of course Viz for currency. Do you have Minecraft server as landing area? I can't wait to see it.  Vizzopoly  How about if you have Newbie, Trusted, Elite, and staff as the railroad stops? Interesting to see what you have already 

jlove92 : Lol i named the railroad stops 'Western Station', 'Northern Station', 'Eastern Station' and 'Southern Station', so i think that's a great idea what you said. And what do you mean with 'landing area'?

The Free Parking spot sorry- actually Minecraft Server makes a better game card set not a Free Parking. Maybe leave it as Free Parking or Hud (our new page improvement).

 What about instead of Community Chest cards- it is labeled Vizzed Market since you can either gain money, lose, or get cool advantages in the game.



And instead of Chance cards- Raffle Ticket cards since it's purely random



Instead of Electric and Water Company- Retro Game Room and Video Game Room- because if you get the set, players have to pay 10 times amount shown on the dice. 



Instead of Income Tax- where you either pay $200 or a 10% of total income- naming it Chat Room because you lose Viz for the time you're in it so it's like charging us income tax for using it already lol. 



Super Tax- where you pay $75 to the bank could be named  Viz Donation (would be nice if that Viz was actually donated back to viz)



Game Pieces can be the Market Place items like V-Machine, Beta tIcket, PlayStation Item, Sword of Vizzed.



You need something cool for Boardwalk and Park Place since those are worth more-  maybe Tour the Vizzed TdV and Minecraft Server could be those two. 



Also can integrate PokemonGo as another city name and Music Game Room since those are two new features.



The forums can be great replacements for cities- Crazy House like you mentioned and others that are used more frequently like Newbie Forum, Contests/Tournaments & Netplay forum, some games I hear most about that have forums: Sonic, Mario. 



I thought maybe to make a color set labeled Game Actions:  One card is Game Reviews, another is Game Guides, Game HighScore



Oh this would be so funny, so instead ofJail label it BANNED (black letters, strikethrough-, like that because that's how banned users display) lol and the one that says Go To Jail and has a cop should say You are BANNED and it's Davideo7's profile picture. lol.

jlove92 : I'm think to show the board so far. Because i think it's done now. As for your ideas:

Free Parking spot = 'Free Viz When Landing here'. Once being here, you'll get all the Viz in-game when you paid for the 'Chance' spots. (Of which i changed too) Yes, i said "paid" because i've changed that rule and a little few other rules. You'll have to pay only 200 Viz for a card and it'll say whatever the dices tell. Because i already figured that cards aren't useful when this is on the internet. And that's where the link i added comes in. With this, people may throw 2 virtual dices and post where they'll land on. It sounds dull, and if you got a better idea for that i would change it to that directly.

Community Chest is changed to Chance as well to increase the chance to land there. But still, if you aim for that type of spot, you'll be missing it for sure. That's how luck works.

Electric & Water is changed to 'Playing a game' and lets you pay 300 Viz.

I don't remember what Income Tax and Super Tax was...

Fun fact: I already named the jail 'Banned' without letting you know. If you go to jail, it says 'Getting Banned' and if you're visiting the 'banned' person, it says 'Looking at their profile'.


I totally forgot what to put here. Took me 1+ hour to make this post, as i was distracted a lot.

MarioLucarioFan64 : Life usually follows a path or rhythm and the people that succeed are the folks who do things because they enjoy doing them. If you're asking us if we think it's a good idea, we can give you input. But if you're having fun doing it and you're enjoying the work, go do it. Don't worry about what we think is important. Have fun, create something, and make adjustments or edits if we speak strongly enough about it.

But don't give up and quit if we say it's not a good idea. You're having fun? Cool, keep at it. Forget us.

The same goes for if you're suddenly not enjoying it. If five people say, "Yeah, that sounds awesome; build the thing," but you decide it's not for you, give up on it. If you're not having fun, it turns to work and the product is bad.

Put that in effect for real life. Do the things you like, don't do the things you don't like (within reason). That's how you should look at and plan your career and your school path when you move on from high school.

The board itself is done. But i got a question: Should i post this in 'The Underground' or in 'Viz Market'?

I for one like this idea, even though I'm not much for board games. But I know some people would love it. I hope you do good making it, the game board looks nice too.

This is an absolutely brilliant idea and I love what you did with the board. I only have a couple concerns/questions about this, though... Because of the length of a game of Monopoly, what happens when a player drops out of the game? As a preventative measure, should users only of a specific rank or higher be allowed to participate? To make sure the game's balanced and fair, will there be a complete adaptation of the game's rules to fit the Vizzed theme? Will everyone start out with a certain amount of playable Viz so the wealthier members can't take the less affluent members for everything they're worth? how exactly will the Viz in play be handled? At some point in the future, should you decide that this is too big of a hassle or it goes over badly, could I suggest the idea to David for refinement of the rules/continuation of the game, assuming he doesn't find it himself? This sounds like a very, very large undertaking, but it's a fantastic idea.

OK, I guess that was more than a couple... I just sorta thought of them as I was typing.

I am going to call foul here. I love the idea of a Vizzed-Monopoly game. There are many cool ideas being tossed around and this is aimed at Mossberg (no pun intended). Now why would you want to make a game restricted to ranks here? If you want to make sure people actually sit down and play the game,charge people some Viz to play and that can add another element to the game,winner of the game gets the pot.

Mossberg,there is a term for that. It is called elitism. That is fundamentally wrong on all levels. Make it so everyone can play.

m0ssb3rg935 : The pay should be as it is when you normally play the normal monopoly. It only makes sense to do it but in viz, and it shouldn't be restricted to some people. Also yes people will have to start out with certain amount. This is meant to be a family board game for everyone to play so then its fair. Also when someone or if someone drops out the person can say actually if her/his Viz go to, and the hotels as well. Because that is also in monopoly, and most people tend to do it when dropping out. As long as they say who gets the goods it should be fine if they make the decision to drop out.

MarioLucarioFan64 : This is your idea, but I suggest we keep the rules in the original game of how things start out money wise. It only makes sense to do that right? So then no one gets confused. I did intend of replying to this thread before sorry I didn't this is one of your most best idea yet if I may say. I wanted people to reply here before saying anything.

m0ssb3rg935 : Thanks for the feedback! On to your questions: 

- I'll make the game like so that any player can join or drop out. I'll add 6 spots and, for example, if you joined spot 4 and you decide to leave, someone else may join with that spot. And i'm also going to give the previous player's money to the next player, as if you're in a team with that person. And what happens while people wait for a new player? Well, we can either choose to pause the game or continue and having that person slightly behind us.
- As i asked, we can either put this in the Viz Market forum for everyone, or in the Underground for higher people. So that's up to you!
- I'm working on a huge twist of the rules to fit Vizzed and it's theme. I mean, if you look at the spots you can buy... They're all forums.
- I'll let users... eh... use 1000, 2000 or 3000 Viz in the entire game to start with. It depends what turns out well and it depends what's an easy number to use.
- Good question. As people may think skeptical when hearing they have to give their Viz to me for a short time, i think it's a better idea for me to do the calculation. With that, i mean that i'll count, decrease, etc. how much Viz the players have, while following the rules. Otherwise it will be a mess. Literally.
- I couldn't quite understand what you meant there. Sorry.

I answered the questions from first to last. Oh, and also: I will NOT join the game when it's done, as i'm only there for calculation. See this as me being a CPU of a video game.

I still have movement problems in this game. They must prevent cheating as well. Any ideas?

Hmm... Should i edit the board, add a color and publish the result after each turn? I don't know... But then it's more clear who is where AND it prevents cheating a bit more.

Oldschool777 : Oh, no no no no..... That's not what I meant to imply at all and I apologize if that's how I came off. Believe me, there's little I hate more than elitists. My only concern was that some newbies or members on a rare venture away from the RGR would jump into the game without a thorough understanding of how forum games work and turn it into an RP session. If that's not likely to be an issue though, I'm fully in favor of making it as inclusive as possible.

MarioLucarioFan64 : As Enii said, it's your game so you can do it however you like, but I second the idea of keeping the bulk of the rules the same and 1,500 Viz would be a good amount of Viz in play while also making it possible for those of us with less of it to play. Also, just to be clear, everyone who enters sends you the starting amount of Viz and you handle it until the end of the game? If so, I agree that that would be the best way to handle it. And it's OK that you didn't get the last question since there was a whole lot of ifs tied to it and it was the least important of them.

Just for clarification on dropping in and out.... When a player drops out of the game, you say their money goes to the next player that takes his spot. That means the new player doesn't have to send in any Viz and the player that's leaving forfeits his Viz in play, correct?

I suggest keeping a copy of the board without any pieces, taking pictures of all of the pieces that would be on the board like houses, hotels and character pawns and just update the board for every turn. I know that's a lot of picture editing, but I think that would be the best way to do it. I could even help out a little by adding transparency to some sample pictures with GIMP, if you have any.

m0ssb3rg935 : Your welcome, nah about the drop out people who want too can give it to the others who are already playing the game. Instead of the new people who are to join the game. Because the money could not be a equal amount. That means we have to find a way for those who want to join the game and how to lend them money. Maybe just stick to how the first time rounders do give them the same amount of money 1,500 Viz. :/

That is good,I hate elitists almost as much as I hate Obama. Thank you for explaining what you meant. We could have a little rule card to everyone to read before jumping in. I would also suggest everyone put up some Viz upon the start. If you have Viz in the game,you will more likely to stay in longer and we could make the Viz that was put up into a pot,the winner of the game,gets the pot. I sure as hell do not want to lose Viz needlessly.

I'd be interested in seeing how this plays once you make it. I'm not sure at all how it could work, but like they say "where there's a will, there's a way", so you can make it work if you try (and you obviously are!).

Nice idea by the way. I won't try to add to the input you've received, just letting you know I think you have a cool idea here if you just keep working on finding a way to make it work in a forum.

Hmm, i think giving Viz to me temporarily requires enormous trust. I know, i'm a trusted member and i'm playing all games fair, but still: Not all people can't trust me their Viz. There are people who don't trust anyone. But if you say that's a good way... I can't think of other ways, only the fact that i keep calculating with a notepad document on the PC i'm using. Also, the joining/leaving thing is indeed a bad idea. I mean, unless you play with someone as a team, the new player doesn't have to pay and the previous player loses their 1500 Viz. So i'll just do this with that idea. And like i said, i guess we should just edit the board every turn to mark who is where. 

I don't think the trust thing will be an issue because both Eirinn and I mod Vizzed Market. I seriously doubt you're going to rip anyone off, but if you did, you could bet your shorts it would result in a ban lol. If there are any questions in regard to trust, you can let them know there there's at least one moderator monitoring the whole thing.

I'm actually not opposed to the idea of the drop in, drop out thing. Actually, I agree with Oldschool that you'd be more likely to get players that will stay with the game until the end since there's money on the table and even if someone decides to drop out, 1,500 Viz is hardly a small fortune. I average more than that a day and when it comes down to it, while we should be open to others joining the game, what we're really looking for are people that are active on the board already, right?

Question time.

So, would it be a good idea to let max. 4 or 6 people join in each game?


And also, i'm working on the final things now. It is done before you can say "When is it done"!
