The Chat Room, game chat and netplay chat will be undergoing maintenance at around 2 AM (CST) on 8/16/16. The maintenance will last a few hours. What I'll be doing is upgrading the version of Comet Chat that the site uses to the latest version which is version 6.0 and includes lots of enhancements and bugfixes. I'm also going to try and set it up so that the Comet Chat software is hosted on a different Vizzed server. I'm hoping all of this makes all of these things run better for the site and I'm hoping that it also potentially helps the site run better also.

EDIT: I kinda got sidetracked which means it'll take me a little longer to finish this up. Sorry for the delay.

I'm not going to lie, the current comet chat bar is really bad. It just doesn't work 75% of the time. (Users don't receive my messages or I don't receive people's messages and then people think I'm ignoring them when I'm not)

I really hope this fixes these issues. But I guess it doesn't matter to me anymore because of what I said in trusted tags. But still very glad to hear that things can run better for the site this way.

Did you ever find out what the problem was with flash chat?

It's good we are upgrading, hopefully this will fix the tons of problems currently happening.

And no one should be in chat at that time (kids need to get sleep) so it shouldn't be a problem.

Barathemos : I never confirmed what the problem is but I've just assumed that the 123 Flash Chat company is not really in business anymore or that they just don't care about their product anymore. Their site is almost always down now days and since the 123 Flash Chat license has to verify with their server that it's legit, that results into the software no longer working. It's kinda upsetting though that it did happen not only because it was a great chat room but also because I invested a lot of money into that license and all of the modules I had with it (probably around $800 invested into it).

I really hope that this will finally fix the comet chat issues once and for all, because it's really effected my ability to communicate with other users. Sending PM's and profile comments is kinda tedious, so hopefully I can communicate with users with comet chat with no problems starting tomorrow.
