The future seems inviting. We don't live forever, and we must make the most of what we have today. Some of us may have a solid career plan and can easily know what to do in life. Others might not and might still be ironing out the kinks in their foreseeable future. That's okay. I just want to know if you have a good idea on what you plan to accomplish later in life.

Where do you see yourself in the near future? How do you plan at succeeding in the present? Thanks for your  support. 

I made a thread already about what people might do in 10 years, but oh well.

I'd see myself as a 20 year old person who has no independence at all. I have no idea how it'll look like, i'd probably get an image of that time one day but until then: I'll have to wait.

MarioLucarioFan64 : There is so much going on with your post. I'm excited to ask you two questions about it.

1. "I made about what people might do in ten years.." - Do you realize the difference between four years and ten years? In ten years, technology will have changed so much, jobs we do today won't exist and new careers will be available for people. That's so far out in the future, it's a completely different question to the four year question. You'll be 26 instead of twenty. Think of all the things you can do in those extra six years.

2. "I'd see myself.... no independence at all." - Why can't you be independent. What holds you back from attacking Life, choosing your fate, and controlling your destiny? Unless we work in a salt mine in North Korea, generally most people on here have some level of control on their lives. Why don't you have any with yours?


Four years? My goodness. My oldest daughter will be in first grade. My youngest probably starting some kind of pre-school. My wife is talking a third kid so we'll probably have an infant or a one year old at that point and I'll be tired all the time again.

We may also have moved. If we have three kids, there's no way we fit in our little 1,300 square foot house with two bathrooms and three bedrooms. The girls will refuse to shack up and share a bedroom with each other and we won't have the space to fit five people plus associated pets. I hate to move from the area since our neighbors are our drinking buddies and we're on a quiet court but close to everything, but we'll probably move a little further from work and the city. My commute gets longer.

Also, four years from now I will have figured out my ops job and they'll give me the next awesome thing, executive director of a building. Or maybe I'll have made enough friends with people in the health system I'll go into administration for hospitals. I hope to stay with the YMCA but if something better comes up, I'll jump and take it so develop myself.

I expect to be in as great a shape as I am now, still running, doing core work, doing pull-ups, and maybe I'll have time to get some soccer in again and join an over 30 league for the fun of it.

Life should be awesome if four years.

To be honest as of now I am not sure. So I am just taking days as they come maybe in those years to come I would be able to answer this question by then. But, right now I can't do that since its quite bleak for me I don't even know where I am headed towards. So I can only hope, and see some good come out from those 4 years.

Ideally in a much more a stable place since I feel I've been lacking it. By that time I'm hoping to have a lot of part time job experience (going to apply at Burger King next spring) achieving some sort of balance between school and free time and hopefully still be working out regularly though it's possible I won't have time for it. I'd be at university so hopefully I'll be going somewhere that I'll actually enjoy learning at majoring in something I find interesting. Maybe I'll try to study to abroad and end up living on my own. Regardless I'll hopefully be a much more independent person.

I feel like at that point in my life it would also be nice to have had a girlfriend but that's getting ahead of myself lol. Of course it's easy to talk about what I want to do but that doesn't mean any of it will actually happen. Achieving any or several of these things though would still be a huge step in the right direction for me though so I'm going to try. The cynical side of me would likely say something like studying at university but otherwise not much having changed but I'm trying to have a positive outlook. At least I don't have a lack of things to work towards and since I'm still young there's tons of possibilities.

To start off, I think the original poster/creator of this thread want's to know other's users "four year plan"usually used to plan out collage paths and career paths after high school. But anyways.. In four years I see my self working full time as a Pharmacy technician and going to school working towards my pharmacist degree. I am currently in school for my pharmacy technician license/certificate and I have planned to go back to school after I get my certificate in Pharmacy technician. I feel as though I'm on the right path towards my goal of becoming a pharmacist and recently I've made a connection that can get me in on the Pharmacy technician Program at the biggest hospital in my area , so I'm very optimistic about achieving my goals and general four year plan. 

In around 4 years, I'll be 19, almost 20 years old. I'll be a Sophomore in college. Hopefully, I figure out what I want to do with my life in the next 2 or 3 years, since I have yet to really decide. I'm hoping I will have done something to help the community in some way or form. I see myself growing a couple of inches in that span, and maybe put on some weight. I see myself having more friends in college, but I think I'll be focused more on the important things when I get there, rather than drinking and partying. 

lol I have half a mind to ask if you thought of this question because of the Olympics, which happen every 4 years, and you wanted to know if anyone on Vizzed would say, "I'll be competing in the Olympics... again." XD I wonder though… Maybe someone will actually say that one of these days. =P

While I do have 2020 vision (j/k =P ), I'm pretty sure that in the future, I'll be looking back at what I was doing 4 years ago and thinking, "Wow... I've certainly spent a lot of time on Vizzed... "

In all seriousness though, I know that in real life, I'll be in a different line of work and it will be one that I enjoy more. There will be a lot more stress, but I have been working hard towards keeping myself calmer under intense pressure so everything should turn out fine.

Yuna1000 : What's the different line of work you're looking for? And what's your plan on how you expect to get there? And why does it have to be more stressful? I really enjoy what I do and it's fun to go to work. I enjoy it and even the hard parts aren't especially stressful because it's more like a puzzle to me compared to 'stressful work.' If that makes sense.

What are you doing to actually, you know, do in four years?

I see myself in college studying for a bachelors degree in programming and game design, I want to do so so that I know all about programming so I can develop games.

In four years, I'll be 22 years old, and I'll still most likely be in college. I'll be aiming to get a degree, and I hope I will be working to earn my own income.

In 4 years I'll be in college (I'm a freshmen in HS) and trying to find out which career pathway to take. I hope I choose well, and also have fun and do well at college.

I'll probably still be on here as well unfortunatly for the people here :p
