And it is a fruit. Yes, I'm talking about eggplant. Fascinated by its deliciousness, I decided to look it up. It is actually a form of nightshade (not the deadly kind...usually ) that is classified as a berry (thanks, Wikipedia!). Let us all take a moment to delight in its wondrous purpliness. Purple was, in ancient times, a color associated with royalty. While many say eggplant is icky, I say nay! I enjoy its succulent flavor. I share the same feelings as that eggplant. I have always wanted to be a fruit, but I am stuck being a vegetable. When will this misery end. I hope it ends soon, but hopefully I am not eaten like that eggplant.

And I don't really like eggplants, kind of gross so, ya know how all of that is.

I've tried eating this one time. I even tried to cook it well, and no matter how good I seasoned it. It seems the eggplant wanted too taste plain without tasting really good. Its the biggest lover for people around the world. But, I do know there are some people out there who likes eating this. Apart from that I feel very sorry for how lonely it can get at most times....

I can't do eggplant. It's too close to the sweet potato family when it comes to the texture and how it feels in my mouth. The flavor is acceptable but it's nothing that really gets me excited. My wife likes her mother's eggplant parmesan pasta, which is where fried eggplant is snuck in spaghetti sauce and hidden by sausage and other meats and cheeses and noodles.

I refuse to be tricked by camouflaging the eggplants with delicious.

And I have made fried eggplants, where I slice them thin, cover them with egg, put them in Italian bread crumbs to get them nice and dusted, and fry them in oil. Even with the oil, the egg, the breadcrumbs... I just can't do it. I rarely say no to food and I take pride with all the varieties of chow I've eaten. But I know I don't like eggplant and I apologize to no one. It may look purple and wonderful but the texture and the taste leave something to be desired.

If we're going with members of the berry family, let's just open things up and get the good stuff, like raspberries, strawberries, and sweet, delicate foods.

Eggplant tastes good if you cook it right, but also cucumber is a fruit or maybe a vegetable slash fruit?

I love deep fried eggplants! When cooked just right, tempura eggplants are so awesome! 

To be honest I never tasted an eggplant. Though that picture makes me want to eat one.
