I'm glad day 2 has picked up the way it has because day 1 was pretty disappointing.

Wow, I was aware there would be a ton of new posts after being gone for almost a full day, but needing to check three pages worth of new posts was beyond my expectations. Seems like I underestimated the power of summer once again.

It's still soon to announce any possible candidate for the win, but we see that a few revelations from the last TdV are already up there. It's very nice to see these new faces battling out since the very first moment. I hope the heated battle can continue through the whole month.

A one-point lead is definitely an interesting start. I doubt it will last more than a couple days though.

I just got back from a mission trip I was on for almost a week, so today I plan on relaxing and not competing. But soon, I plan on going all out and maybe even try to light my username on fire. The TdV this year looks to be Cox's win. He was really strong last TdV, and I don't see anyone else who can beat him to first place.

I figured I'd make 1 attempt at possibly taking the lead on the 1st day but that'll probably be my strongest performance this month. I may try and win one of the Overall Jerseys but I honestly don't expect to make top 3 this time like I usually do. I might not even make top 5 but we'll see.

Even though a lot of users hate the Tour de Vizzed, you can't deny that it gives the site a good surge of content and posting activity. The TdV earned a bad reputation because of past TdV competitions and that's fair since we didn't have as many rules in place but there has been a lot of time invested into making the TdV more fair for everyone over the past few years and I personally think the competitions get better and better since it gets harder to cheat and also since I occasionally add features which help balance things out.

If there's ever an issue with the Tour de Vizzed now days, I don't think it's the TdV that should be blamed, I think it's the user who is causing the issue that should be blamed. If we take care of those users right away then we can have an awesome TdV this month.

Anyways, we're just about to exceed 600 posts in the past 24 hours. I definitely think that this is what the site needed at a time like this.

LunarDarkness2 : 600 posts in 24 hours isn't all that great, but it's a start in getting activity back. I remember back at the start of 2014 we had a few 1,000 post days, and getting more than 600 posts in a day was normal. If you look back at this past January, we had more than 700 posts on the first day of the month and we had other 600 post day that month. We didn't start off this month like that, but if we can keep it going, we could see the level of activity that we haven't had in a while.

Welp, I'm a bit disappointed at some results for yesterday. I had hopes some of them would get higher, but they didn't change in the last 3 hours or changed just slightly. Still, a very nice way to start the competition, let's hope nobody burns out soon and we can have more fiery days like yesterday.

Davideo7 : I was lurking through the Hall of Fame, and I just saw it gives me one day holding the Rainbow Banner. I'm totally sure I haven't hold it anytime. Is this some kind of glitch or is my memory that bad?
