Back when I was in secondary school I remember my first music. Lessons and it was to do with to learn to play on the piano. As time went on I used to love playing on it daily. Even some off times like lunch break I would play the songs I would be learning for the class. I never felt such piece and comfort. And I really enjoyed playing on it when I got the chance. So how about you? This could be either a yes or a no discussion. Tell me please I would love to know and talk about it with you guys.

I never learned music at all when I was in school but i used to play the piano in my free time and was pretty good at it but I stopped before I went into high school and never played again since then.

zanderlex : Sorry to hear about that you never got to learn it at school. If you played the piano can I ask where you played it? And I would imagine you playing very good. And why did you stop it?.... @.@

Music was never an option for me, sadly. Although I would have liked to have played the piano at some point.

I never took a class for piano but I tried to learn it on my own for a while. I even own one of those really big digital keyboards that can mimic the sounds of other instruments too. I loved playing with that thing a few years ago but I put it in storage recently. If I wanted it again I could always get it, but for now it'll stay there.

Sadly, I never had the chance, or just didn't care at the time to learn how to play the piano. Though for the past few years, after learning a lot more and listening to a lot more music, the piano is the one instrument I would really enjoy learning how to play. It can cover such a wide range of tones and emotions completely on it's own, not something a whole lot of instruments can do well. Some of the greatest compositions (pieces of music, I mean. I think that's the right word for it?) I've ever heard were played on nothing but a single piano, and learning how to play those songs would be something I would be greatly interested in. Despite my lack of interest in communicating with people, I would absolutely love to be able to perform in front of an audience while playing, and also possibly singing depending on what is being played / requested.

A user of this : That sad maybe one day you'll get to do it? I'm sure that will be the case so don't worry. Not everyone gets to do it but later in their life they do.

Minuano : I see....its very nice to learn it on your own for that. The keyboard for the one you have seems like a good one and I also see that you used to enjoy playing it. I would if I played on that too so at least its put away nicely so if you ever want to play it. You know where to find it. ^-^

Mynamescox44 : Well everyone is different with that. Yes the piano holds a lot of things I also felt that when I played it back at my school there are many things a piano can hold and to change someone by. There will be people who will not care at first but then when they will try and play the piano they would feel things that they never would had felt before. Which would make them to like and play more. I'm not surprised if you would want to play in front of people. It would actually be nice if you would do that one day. I dunno if you intend to but I say actually give it a go and see what comes out from it. ^^

Well, I really doubt I'd ever be able to do it professionally, regardless of how hard I chased the dream. I doubt I'm that talented in the first place, so it'd probably just be for kicks, or maybe playing for a small restaurant / bar or something on the nights or weekends. That's if I can even get to the point where anyone would care to listen lol. That being said, I doubt I'll ever take the time to learn in the first place. I'm one of those people who if I'm not immediately good at something (which is the case most of the time, but playing a piano seems hard lol), I generally don't stick with it too long. I don't have very much patience

Mynamescox44 : That's understandable if you intend on doing it start off small. You might become famous one day for doing it. Its your choice but you know...life is short so you gotta make the best of everything and all. Many take life for granted which is why I am doing what I can most of the time to live it. There will be people who won't be sure to take up something again that they once used to love doing so many years ago. Like I said its up to you lol I'm only just doing what's right to encourage you for it. XD

My school didn't have piano class until last year. I was able to take piano class the first year. Over the year, I developed a bit of a love hate relationship towards the class. Sometimes I love the piano. Other times I want nothing to do with it. I don't want to go through that again, so I chose not to take piano class a second year.

AriaAngelDream : Ah....I see it was more like a mix feeling for you? There will be some people who feel that way for various or reasons. People taking those classes would often think this. Should I like it? Yeah its ok....no I don't like it. So it would be like an up, and down scale thing playing the piano wouldn't be the thing for everyone since most people like to explore things to see if they will like it or not. So it can be like a 50/50 kind of thing towards something, that you are not sure of lesson wise.

I have never played a piano in my life (aside from touching a few random keys if I came across one somewhere, but every kid does that right).

We couldn't play instruments at our school though we did get some basic lessons in music. I'm not really interested in playing a piano either way so no.

Furret : I see. Yes I can agree like kids re tempted to touch the piano keys. It happened to all of us at one point when we were at the age. Sorry to hear about you not being about to learn anything. But, if you had the choice would you learn how to play the piano or any other instruments?

I liked playing the piano when I got a chance though I wasn't particularly good at it which is why I rarely did it unless I had to or if no one was listening. The one exception being when we had to create a song and I managed to think of something that was simple enough to play but sounded alright. The most fun instrument for me though was always drums, probably because that was the one instrument I was actually pretty decent at. I also rarely got the chance to actually play it because there wasn't more than maybe 1 or 2 drum sets at a time and usually someone was always occupying them so that made it all the more fun when I actually had the opportunity to play it.

Zlinqx : I see...thats nice to hear. Most don't always play the piano to be good at it but for more of the enjoyment instead. Oh to create a song? I think if I heard you make and play it I would enjoy the song. Oh yeah...you reminded me of something! I used to play the drums as well and was actually good at it because I kept playing it everyday somewhere which I've forgotten sadly. I can't remember how I played the drums back then, but I don't think I would go back to playing the drums again because it would take time to get back to where I was. Ah yeah there will be that one person who would always occupying them. XD

I'm one of the least musically talented people I know. I can't play an instrument to save my life, I can't sing worth a darn, I can't do much more than dance. I'm great at dancing.

Ghostbear1111 : That's fine lol. Not everyone will be into playing pianos or other music things like that. Great at dancing you say? I would actually like to see you do that if I can. And I see you did sports I'm sure you did great. ^-^ 

None of my schools really had the opportunity to do that, although when i was very young my dad made me play the piano all the time at home even though i didn't know how to play it at all? I acted like they do in movies and fiddled my hands across the piano keys.
I do think the piano is a beautiful instrument and I enjoy listening to it a lot, if I had the opportunity in school I probably would have shown off my awesome key mashing.

Cap'n : Sorry to hear about that. I think in a way it was good that your father had you play the piano to give you some experience, and maybe even enjoyment to see if you were to like it or not. I think piano too is a beautiful instrument. If you do get to play that in school it would be great to show off your awesome key mashing. XD
