So we have here an idiot without right life

I have a question: How do you fall in love with someone over the internet? You've never met them, you don't know what they look like when they eat food, you've never heard their voice, you don't know what they smell like, or look like, or anything.

I'm baffled. Someone help me out here. How can anyone have shared experiences with another person to the point that they fall in love?

You can like them,but fall in genuine love...NO. You have to remember,people lie all the time on the internet. And some people,sad to say,enjoy causing undue harm and torment. Luigi,I would suggest you forget about this person. Trust me,they are not worth this BS. More that likely it is some little troll that is enjoying the show.

Ghostbear is correct,you cannot fall in love with someone that you have not met face to face. You do not know them,their habits,their views,etc.

If you are of age,Luigi,I would suggest having a couple of beers or drinks and forgetting about the troll. If not,play a few death matches to get over it. Use the anger to punish your enemies in the game.

In my opinion, alcohol causes more problems than help with them. And you're telling this to a 14 year old. You can easily check their age by scrolling your mouse over their username or going on their profile.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but I'd rather not see people suggesting 14 year olds to drink alcohol.

Ghostbear1111 : Well, here's the thing. Let's say you meet a person through the internet. Over the course of the next months, you talk for let's say 8 hours a day. That's way more than you can possibly talk to a person in real life. But through the internet, it's possible. Just from talking you can understand that person on a more personal level than even yourself. It's like falling in love through letters, just quicker. It's a form of communication. And as such, love can blossom from it.

The question is, how can you fall over a person in such short time, regardless of internet or not.

I'm not sure how long you've known this person, Luigi. I have never been in your situation, but I can imagine the pain of not only losing a person you loved, but to know it was all fake, betrayal, is something no one should feel.

I don't know how to go on to this. Time heals all wounds. Your life right now might seem dark and miserable. But life, it's like a tunnel. It might seem dark, and you can't see the light at the end of it, but if you keep going, you'll end up in a much better place.

This will make you stronger. As a person. You will learn the pain and melancholy of the world, and as such (I hope, at least) you will come out as a more compassionate person.

It's okay to feel sad, even mad. Just make sure it's for the correct reason. Revenge isn't good most of the time. There are other ways to make yourself feel better, but the decision is yours to make, and you do have a right to make your decision be respected, even if others don't agree with it.

(And, I would stay clear of beer and drinks. Alcohol in general. Not just at your age, but overall. Once again, your decision to make, but you know.
Also, don't "Use your anger to punish your enemies". That is not a healthy way to release anger. Atleast, not by itself. Try to find something that works for you.)

If you actually read the post,note I did say OF AGE. Christ,is it that hard to read the post in its entirety? And second,if Luigi was OF AGE,one or two drinks is okay.

I did read, actually. It seems you missed the part about my post where I said it was not that hard to check his age. And it seemed like you were suggesting alcohol as a solution. One or two drinks can get you addicted, leading to more drinks. I don't approve of people suggesting minors to drink alcohol.

Only if the person has an addictive personality or is weak willed. I saw that part. I should not have to check everyone's ID,I am not a damned bouncer. And again,if he was of age. I think Luigi can decide to be a good boy. Of course,I think some on here need to take a drink and shut up.

I'd suggest banning his IP(s) if he's a legitimate problem for the site. If not, then just keep tabs on him, building a case file so when you do eventually have to IP ban him you have evidence to support your decision. Don't DDOS him, though. You fell for a catfish that you had the resources to tell was a re-reg of a user with a personality problem. Besides, you're 14. At this age you're allowed to make mistakes, have vague pleasent feelings about someone that isn't real. You are not, in the eyes of the law at least, allowed to outright attack people, whether physically or through cyberspace.

Feel bad for you. If it makes you feel any better, my former Facebook account got hacked in 2013. What i hate more than jerks on the Internet are liars and manipulators. You can either ban them, or report their actions to a moderator. Or Sir David himself. Show your fangs. This guy is probably all bark and no bite.

is doing is simply not giving any credit to information given on here. You can't believe anything anyone puts and he's recommending a course of action that is completely acceptable for adults. He said if they're of age because, last time I checked, there are a number of threads lying (haha!) around here that apologize for lying about ages. No one knows how old anyone else really is unless they've met in person or are relatives. Am I really 30-whatever? Maybe I'm a well-written 22 year old or a 45 year old posing as younger. Who knows? Oldschool was prefacing because he's not going to make assumptions.

maguc : How is it possible to talk more over the internet? I live with my wife and we've slept together and woke together (12:00pm - 7:00am) We ate breakfast with our kids and went for a walk together (7:00am - 8:45am). My wife went for a run and ran and then we went to swim lessons together and were in the pool with our kids. Then we went home, had lunch together, and we'll renew our marriage vows while the kids nap and probably fall asleep ourselves. (10:30am - 3:00pm) After that, the family is going out to celebrate our dads' Fathers Day at a nice restaurant and we'll be together tonight until 9:30 when we go to sleep.

That is sure more than 8 hours time together. Match that with the internet.

It is true that I know a lot of users whose age on their profile is not what their true age is. But it's better to be safe than sorry. Even if he was of age, I don't particularly like anyone suggesting alcohol as a way to get rid of all of your problems. Of course, it's his choice once he does reach the legal age, but it can still be a bad mistake that could change your life forever if done too much. I think we're getting off topic, though. So we should probably move this discussion to a new thread. :x

Luigi442wii : I'm sorry to hear what happened to you dude. That's a really tough thing to go through, and I can't say I haven't experienced something similar, although I wasn't necessarily in love, it was more like just a small crush. The thing I did to get over it, although it might not help you much, is getting away from people for a while in real life and do something relaxing. I suggest taking some time off whatever website the incident happened on. You might also feel better ranting or what not. In the end, just don't have contact with the jerk who did this to you anymore. He may see it as a joke, but I see that person as a complete joke. I hope you feel better dude, and feel free to PM me if you want to. 

LunarDarkness2 : What you said isn't bad. In fact, it is admirable. Most people can think something but they never speak up. Good for you for having an opinion and telling others, especially when it is obviously important to you.

I made my comments because I think you're missing the point a bit. No one said, "14 year olds should drink," and we aren't pooh-poohing what you believe. I agree with you and I didn't really start drinking until 23 years of age anyway.

Good for you for standing up for yourself.

This is pretty much why I've given up on finding love on the Internet.

Not because I was tricked or anything, but because I feel that irl relationships are more lasting tbh.

Anyways, I'm sorry that you've been tricked like this luigi, and I hope things go better for you in the future~ Just forget that person and try not to fall in love on the Internet in the near future :p. As for that person, he really should stop doing that. And eventually it'll catch up to him anyways so it all evens out in the end :p.

I agree that I probably should have posted something actually relatable to the first post. I was so focused on that one post I made I didn't think about it the first time. Sorry about that.

Now that I've said this, the rest of this post will be towards Luigi.

That is shameful. I have never experienced something like this before. But, I used to be a big troll. They just want a reaction out of you. As long as you ignore them then they will stop bothering you. I know this isn't the same scenario and it isn't that easy to ignore something like this.

I will tell you one thing. Don't hold on to this. There are plenty of things more important than this situation. Just try not to hold onto this for too long. I used to do that with situations I had and it only made myself worse.

A lot of people lie on the internet, Just like they do in real life, The simple difference is that one can lie about one's appearance, gender and so on...

Whilst i do feel sorry that you feel this person tricked you and made you feel upset, I also believe that trying to hurt someone who hurt you is a very childish and petty way to do things. 

If anything just use it to remember that whilst on the internet not everyone is as they seem to be,

People have multiple reasons for using persona's online. And their not all for hatred or trolling either...

If you don't like what someone is doing just walk away from it. Nothing good will come of you making it more of an issue.
