The title says it all, what does love mean to you? Does it mean you like something (or someone) a lot? Does it mean you want to live with the thing or person forever? What does it mean to you?

To me, it means a lot: If there was no love on Earth, we wouldn't be here. Not because our parents, grandparents, etc didn't have children, but then the world would already end because we were too violent against each other. So loving people doesn't mean it's only your crush. It also can mean you love everything around you.

Love is caring about others, essentially. Being a caring person is also something that most people are not. So you could say that love is a rare thing.

Love for me means that I can't get enough of it. For example my love for my girlfriend witch I can't get enough of . Or the love I got for my old v70 car. So much I can't get rid of it since I can't  stand the tough to see someone else drive it and not me

Love is simply the strongest of bonds, way beyond a best friends relationship. It means caring for one another and supporting each other if one ever feels down, as well as talking constantly about anything, be it good or bad, so it can all be sorted out for the best.

Of course it means living with everything and everyone I love forever (well, not my parents, since I eventually will have to form my own family to live with). I always enjoy sharing my time with those I have a close bond with, so I would totally spend all my time with a loved one, even if that turns me into an overly attached boyfriend (I hope not).

True love never fails, it never ends, and it doesn't think of self first. It gives us purpose, for as it was said without it we "are nothing". We won't be happy (even if we think we are), we won't find true love in someone of the opposite gender, we won't be fulfilled. Life is all about trying our best to find this Love and grasp onto it and share it.

I'm not so sure about wanting to live with them all the time though (I love my parents but I wouldn't want to live with them until I'm 70 << ), but for a spouse, yea you should probably want to live with them :p.

Have I loved someone before (other than my family)? Yes, at least, I thought I did. But, well, I soon found out that it was probably better to wait until I'm over 18 to try and find someone :p.

To be honest, I don't know what love means to me because I can't be sure if I've ever experienced it. Used in the context of taking great pleasure in something, I can understand, but as far as another person goes, I don't know. There's an un-explainable urge to protect people I'm close to that I frequently get if there's something that's potentially threatening, but I don't know if that counts. It's an emotional feeling, just something that takes over without any thought given. Almost like instinct.

palen has already explained a lot of things I would say. Its how it can be used. Love for someone, for friends or for family in general. If you really love that person the decisions you make to help them see shows. It depends if you listen or not if not then you suffer the consequences to do with something you might had done. Love can show in the most oddest ways not people can tend to see which I have seen. But if you see it the right way then you will be able to benefit from it in so many different ways.

Love is basically caring for someone deeply, be it on a romantic or platonic level. It's what keeps a lot of us from simply trudging through life miserable and lonely. It's the driving force behind our daily lives, as we do many things to be able to provide for or spend time with loved ones. If not for love, society would probably be much more dark and cold, instead of sometimes being compassionate or good-willed. Love for anything means having passion for it / them, and doing everything in your power to maintain, improve, or help along the way. Love is a beautiful thing, and probably the most important emotion (feeling?) that one can experience. A Love for anything can put a lot happiness into your life, giving you a cause or dream to chase after. Love is about showing devotion to something, and never giving up on it no matter how bad things may get.

Love also means different things to everyone. My version of Love may be an entirely different concept than it is to someone else. For instance, I believe you shouldn't do anything to hurt those you love whether they would ever know about it or not, where some believe it's ok to do something, as long as the loved one never finds out (cheating is an example of what I mean here. Yes, it's possible to love someone and still do them wrong, it happens all the time). Another thing that may differ is if there are conditions placed on said love. For myself, Love is unconditional, where to some, they will stop loving you if you don't do what they expect / want from you or cause them physical / emotional harm, though it can be argued that's not Love in the first place.

Love is wanting nothing but happiness and pleasant experiences for the person you feel that way about. Though sadly it's not always reciprocated. Love can drive you to do great things, even it only means making a loved one smile. Love is wanting to spend every moment you can with said person, and share as many experiences with them as possible. For an activity or physical object, Love would be cherishing every opportunity to do the activity and having a deep passion for it. For an object, it would be to greatly enjoy spending time doing whatever it is you do with said object (like working on a car for example if you love cars, or maybe driving).

Regardless of what it is you Love, it's all about making the most of your time with it, as well as taking the best care of them / it you can. For me, when I Love someone or something, I devote my self to it as much as humanly possible. Though everything I've said in this post is only my personal beliefs, so don't feel like anyone's wrong if the opinions differ. There's no such thing as a "right" answer to what Love is.

Love is wanting the best for someone regardless of it benefiting you, it's keeping them in mind even if they aren't there, there are many types of love be all in all it boils down to appreciating the person and wishing them the best in life.

Love, in my opinion, is when you unconditionally care for the wellbeing of someone. No matter what they said or did to you, or what kind of argument you guys are having, you have their best interest at heart. Romantic love isn't something that comes around everyday, but when it does, it's truly a consuming feeling. You always think about that person and feel terrible when you're not around that person. Platonic love can be something that you can have with like your friends. You deeply care for their wellbeing, no matter the circumstances, and when it gets to the point where you don't you realize that the friendship is basically over.

It is just a mind game or some kind of strong emotion that can be happy or painful.
