We all love winning. It is human nature. We also get incredibly joyous when we can help others, as it makes us feel a little better about our daily lives. When we accomplish something that was seemingly impossible or improbable, it makes our hearts race and enlightens our spirits. I've never been too optimistic in my life, but one moment gives me good tidings every time I think about it. It was regarding some Basketball/Dodgeball hybrid sport. While I normally despise playing sports, as I've always sucked at them, one moment really made my day.  Once in the year 2008, while playing this hybrid sport at Highland Heights (My elementary school), all hope seemed lost. Most of my friends were off the playing field, as it was easy to eliminate them (to eliminate someone, you touch them with the dodgeball or they catch it), I was the last player on my team, and the other team seriously doubted my skill. They assumed I'd be easy, seeing how sports were never my thing. When I was given one last dodgeball in a ditch effort, I either could get someone out or throw it in the basketball hoop to get my teammates back. I tried the latter. However, I was at the far end of the court, and no one had any confidence in me. I thought in my head "It's now or nothing", as I decided to take the long shot. People predicted I would gloriously fail, and we would lose the match. I showed them wrong. Instead of that happening, my deduction, accuracy, and trajectory allowed my shot to fly across the court like no one had seen before. It entered the net. At first, there was a huge silence, then a standing ovation, followed by praise, hollering, and approval. My whole team got to come back thanks to me, and the whole court was filled with wondrous applause. It delighted me.

What was the best moment in your life? Why? How happy were you? Could any other moment truly compare? Thanks for reading my long story.

I had an incredibly dangerous virus with me in 2003, when i was 3. I can't remember it's name, but it makes me throw up every kinds of foods and drinks. Meaning that i was unable to eat or drink. I ended up in the hospital when they found out in July 2003 that i had that virus. They thought they revived me two weeks later, but on the 3rd of August 2003, i got it again. This time, it went worse: I was literally dying. My mother and the doctors gave up thinking i could be revived, so my mom decided to sit next to my bed, watching me die so that she was the last person i would see in my life. But every freaking single person who thought i would die was wrong: My mother's love revived me completely. And everyone was relieved by this. That moment i was still alive would be the happiest moment of my life. It could end up bad if my mother didn't make it in time.

No particular moment sticks out in my mind, but in general I was a lot happier in my childhood, so it was probably then. Perhaps a birthday or Christmas or vacation.

In recent memory (this year so far), the happiest moments have been: realizing that I found an anti-depressant that helped after 9 years of trying things, receiving an invite to E3, and meeting a girl that I'm interested in from the internet in person for the first time.

There's some competition for my happiest moment. I was too scared when my first daughter was born to really enjoy the moment and there were some medical problems going on with my wife so things were touch-and-go for a while before she was out of the woods.

The birth of my second daughter happened so quickly, I barely had time to enjoy it. But it was an incredibly happy moment for me.

The day I married my wife, back in 2006, was another joyous moment that I don't remember because it happened so quickly. The religious service was over in about 30 minutes and the party went all night long. We have big families and lots of friends so several hundred people came out to celebrate the union of the two households. I brag a little bit when I say people still talk about what a great wedding it was. My wife demanding top-shelf alcohol and beer for people and the best music we could find and everyone remembers that. It's almost unfair that friends compare weddings to ours. We dumped money into it because it was a good time.

That whole evolution of wedding/reception/being married has to be one of my happiest moments in my life.

Ultrajeff : I believe I just mentioned this in your "Can you change" thread XD

The happiest moment of my life is very easily the day I got married. Nothing comes even close to that and nothing ever will. I remember when I was in high school, I thought that I'd never get married. Man was I wrong, but yet I wouldn't have it any other way. Just look at marriage like EVERYTHING is 50% off including cars, houses, etc. Its an awesome feeling being married!

Coincidentally,It seems we have something in common. I got a disease about a month ago which made me drowsy, frail, and sick. I couldn't eat food and I couldn't stand. I was carried to the hospital and given lots of water to excessively consume. My desire to live, my mom and doctor supporting me, and my immune system helped immensely in the recovery effort. Miracles are a wonderful thing, are they not?

I say....I have a few to say first off. Helping people those that needs help. Seeing and watching them grow into a shining star. Also to be proud of them because they then start wanting to help people from being inspired from me. Also another thing being alive I guess. I've come to the point of near deaths like really close ones.... I'm not talking about a few times near death ones up to 10. I've only got god to thank for that. I could list more but these would be the top two.

I would have to say marrying my wife. While that specific day might not have been the happiest day in particular I do think that that decision has created more happiness for me than anything else I could have chosen to do since then. There are lots of fun or interesting things I could have chosen to do but I think marrying her topped anything I could have come up with to do. There have been lots of ups and downs of course because nothing is ever easy but I can't think of any other scenario where I would have had this many opportunities to be happy. Also, I wouldn't have the three amazing kids I have right now and I can't imagine my life without them. It would be seriously boring not having kids anymore. I'd have so much free time that I wouldn't even know what to do with.

I can't remember.
Probably the day we took Muddy home, our labrador, in 2011, although I know that happened in 2011, I don't remember a single thing that happened that year properly, other than the date we took him home, for some reason.

I have two happiest moments in my life.

The first one was when I accepted Jesus into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior. I felt like a changed person. I also was happy cause I could fill my heart change and have a warm feeling.

Second was when I had a girlfriend and we kissed. That was really a good time for me. But due to my fears we kind of broke apart. Oh how I wish I wouldn't have let me fears got in the way. That was a happy and one of the best times in my life. I would give anything If I could go back in time or that me and the girl could get back together

The best moment of my life would be the day that I was at the MLB Home Run Derby back in 2013. I was volunterring for the All Star Game Fan Fest and while going around the Fan Fest during my free time I entered a huge contest and by taking 2nd place, I was able to go and enter an even bigger contest at the Home Run Derby.

So for taking 2nd, I was given two tickets to the Derby and a jersey for one of the players that I got to choose, and I played against the 1st place guy in the same contest, on the field in front of everybody. I was on the field for about 10 minutes, and while we were waiting to compete, I was standing behind some pretty big All Stars such as Mariano Rivera and Alex Gordon.

We both did terrible but I won a Vita and a PS3.

I can think of several moments that made me feel very happy: the moment I walked through the stage during my college graduation but, better yet, walking out of the auditorium by the parents and walking out the doors to be surprised by all the teachers there yelling and congratulating us it truly was the best moment and it brought tears to my eyes and during that time it had been several years since I last felt happy or even looked at life in a positive manner; for once I felt proud of myself and felt that I meant something. Another joyful moment was the moment my baby nephew finally cried. The doctor hurt his tiny head during labor and for several minutes he was still and quiet; I felt something I can't quite described, I felt my soul hurt deeply. But then he finally moved and yelled, and man he has not stop talking or making noise for the last 5 years lol I am extremely close to him, he took after a lot of my likes such as gaming and Mario. This kid games 24/7 and is only 5 years old. I am happy to finally have someone I can relate to and be my gamer buddy. And every moment my mother seems to find a reason to smile and be joyful something I have very little memories of in the last 15 years. These are my favorite happy moments but, I am sure more are yet to come
