If you've done any amount of competitive battling, or probably even if you haven't you've likely learned that Pokemon natures affect your stats. Increasing one by 10% and decreasing one by 10% (unless you get a "neutral" nature which does nothing). You'll need to take advantage of these and hunt Pokemon with the same nature when battling competitively if you want to be successful as it can make a very real difference. Especially if you get something like an adamant Abra (+10% atk -10% sp.atk) which can be very detrimental.

When battling against the NPC though while they can be helpful they're most of the time something you don't have to keep in mind if you don't want to. Is it something that matters to you while just tackling the single player aspect or do you not really care?

I used to be pretty obsessed with it after first learning about some years back to the point where it ruined the game for me. An example was when I literally spent 3 hours soft resetting for a modest Cyndaquil in SoulSilver. I eventually didn't bother with it once I realized it stopped me from having fun with the game. Now I usually just accept whatever the nature of the Pokemon is, yes even something like an adamant Abra That shift was probably also aided by me playing the games a lot more casually now. The one exception being when I'm tackling the battle frontier or each game's equivalent.

As long as it's not something terrible (something that lowers special attack or raises physical attack on a special attacking pokemon or vice versa) I don't really care in-game.

I don't want something like a Modest machop in my team but I'm fine with something like Sassy.

Competitively I do give my pokemon the best nature for their specific set since it can make the difference between 95% chance to OHKO and 100% chance to OHKO (and you have no clue how often that 5% kicks in lol)

I honestly don't care much about natures, EVs and IVS. I love my Pokemon the way they are, and I believe in them. I'm not in competitive battling.

I don't competitive battle so I really don't care about natures. I just capture a Pokemon I like and use it. I don't think I've ever gone out of my way to even see what my Pokemon had.

Even if I were into competitive battling. I still wouldn't care for single-player. The games are easy enough as is so you really don't need to put in the effort for a good nature. Once you're done and want to start building up a team, then you should start caring. By then getting a good competitive Pokemon you want would be easier since you could also breed IVs while you're looking for the "perfect" nature.

I have a tendency to want all my pokemon to have the best natures to fit them as possible, even in single player. If I have a pokemon that has high attack and low special attack, I always want to try to get the adamant nature for it. If I have a pokemon with low attack and high special attack, I want it to be modest, etc. I'm way more into natures and EV's than IV's.

I rarely pay attention to natures when I'm playing, in fact of all my pokemon in AS, I probably saw the natures for only 3 of them, I just don't even bother looking at them. There are to many to pay attention to and it gets too confusing for me.
