Someone once told me these kind of deaths happen in bunches. First David Bowie, then Prince, now Billy Paul. It just seems that it happens in bunches, however there's probably not very much if any evidence that it does. I'm so hoping we lose no more legends this year, however. This diminishes somewhat my hope that Neil Diamond or James Taylor will survive. Let's hope this something to these two.  Anyway, here's the link for the death of Me and Mrs. Jones singer, Billy Paul.

The entire world I swear will be put in a dark depression of this that will last for the longest of times. Another one gone? whos next? I mean seriously when we have finished mourning for someone else. The next greatest person dies!

Yeah it really sucks that all these great people are dying, I mean I love David Bowie due to his voice. Another person I mourned when he died was Robin Williams........you an't never had a friend like him ;-;

It's sad to see these influential people go. They all had such a positive impact on the world and their fans. It's depressing to know that part of their legacy can no longer continue to grow. At least everyone listed here lived a good, full life, and weren't taken away way too young.

2016 has so far just been a god awful year not only for the passing of these amazing musical artist, but rather my unusual increase of depression and anxiety for personal reasons. On top of hearing about these great musicians deaths that are now popping up more than ever, It's also adding insult to injury of putting even more sadness into me. I absolutely wish these passings can stop, but unfortunately It seems that will never happen as death is a part of life. I'm sorry about talking about my depression as it has nothing to do with this thread. I just hate hearing about people dying as it really makes me sad and should and make other people sad too. I just hope no one else dies this year because we simply don't need anymore.

2016 in general is a really depressing year although some good things have happened mostly bad things like these influential people, they were famous for a good reason unlike some of the celebrities who shot to fame recently it's not a good thing.

Plus people like Ronnie Corbett (known for the two ronnies) and Frank Kelly (known for father ted) also died this year there's so many people dying who we are felt like close to in a way.

(I'm not even going to re-state about what's in my bio)

Well 2016 for me has been an ok year so far. I never knew these famous people (I never heard of Prince before he passed away) so I have very little emotional connection to them but I wish their family and friends the best.

We can't shake the fact that everyone dies, and it just so happens that there's MANY greats, so it's only expected that a handful would pass away each year. It's terrible, but the legends are all older now, so it's only a matter of time, even though it's sad.

zanderlex : I mean that there's been so many and we only have had 5 months alone of this year it seems a week doesn't go by without a celebrity death.

These deaths are terrible, but hopefully, there won't be too much more in the near future as celebrity deaths are supposed to only come in groups of three...

I'd say the 2 musicians that effected me the most was Jimmy Bain of Last In Line. Great bassist and died on the Def Leppard cruise after being on stage the night before. He didn't look good at all. For those of you that are into rock and metal, you will know him from the early years of Dio.

Then there was the passing of Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, that hit me real hard, being a huge fan of Motorhead, and Lemmy living his life to the fullest.

I wasn't the biggest David Bowie fan but had major respect to him, and the same with Prince, wasn't a fan of his music, but he was a helluva guitarist.
