What do you want in a good friend? Share your thoughts, please.

The best friends that I have right now are the ones that keep my secrets when I ask, are honest with me but also compassionate, and respect my boundaries but also know when to let me know if I'm crossing their's. I don't have many close friends, but I'm happy with the ones I do have.

I'd also like to mention that they accept we may not see eachother or talk every day (life is busy these days lol) but when we do see eachother, it's like it was just yesterday.

Best friends I have now are the ones generally from Vizzed, as my IRL friends I have to keep some secrets since they aren't exactly normal likes.

I don't really care what my friends are like as long as they are my friends. Simply put, if what they are doing keeps us as friends, then that's what I want. As long as I stay friends with them, then they're doing something right.

Most of my friends both in real life and on here are pretty funny, or at least have a good sense of humor. Most of my friends are also pretty nice, not only to me, but to others as well. I don't want to be friends with people that bully or are mean to others. My friends on here make me feel better when I'm feeling down, and I hope I do the same to them. I have a lot of friends on here, but only a few close ones. In real life, I have some friends, and all of them are pretty close to me. 

Ultrajeff :   what I look for in friendz is loyalty and acceptance since I'm autistic I also need my friends to be understanding and have patients with me since sometimes I can be frustrating without meaning to be and sometimes without me even knowing it


I've made alot of awesome friendz here on Vizzed and I'd do anything to see them happyz and help them no matter what so even if they have a bad day or need advice I'd be more then happyz to help them out and lend them a hand or ear which ever the case may be

I'd say a friend should be trustworthy, someone you can talk to who understands you.Someone who accepts you who you are and dosen't want you to try to be like everyone else or distance themselves from you from peer pressure.

Well, that's what I think a friend should be.Sadly though, I have none.

Ultrajeff : Unfortunately, I don't really have any friends in real life, but I do have some on this site, though. Well, as long as my friends can accept me for who I am, then that it's enough for me. Of course I would also like 'em to be considerate of my emotions and feelings, too.

LoL. Even though we just met, I also like you guys and consider you good friends. Btw, utopia, I think you should start posting more often around the board.

When I first to vizzed, I was somewhat of a loner, and cared way too much about what others perceived me as, but after meeting and getting to know you guys, I was kinda able to come out of that shell. Even if there were a few ups and downs at times, I'm happy I got to know you all. Its the good times that count, not the bad. Thanks everyone.

I just like to be around fun people.
Since most people I know IRL are busy, I hardly rely on people being available, so I just hang out with people that like to have fun. :3

I consider a good friend to be someone who keeps secrets that I tell them and don't spread it around like it's some hot drama or whatever, and might actually help me with stuff if they're able to. I also consider a good friend to be someone I can engage in fun conversations with . Basically trustworthy and fun :3. I have friends like that on Vizzed and irl (you know who you are :p).

Spidey243 : your welcome and it's ok if you don't knowz how to convey your emotions I'm a very patient and understanding person I also accept people for who they are and even though I don't have the 'trusted user' status yet since I'm working on it I can assure you that you can trust me with what ever it might be for example if your having a bad day and need someone to talk to aboutz it I'll be more then happyz to hear you out and give you advice if I can ^-^

As a friend I would want them to be passionate and hardworking individuals that know how to have a good time. The friends I currently have right now are the type of friends anyone would want I would trust them with my life because we are so close. 

I love my friends, and I'm not picky about who are my friends, but I do want them to have some good qualities so that I know they're not complete jerks lol. (Like some of them have turned out to be).

It's hard to say "what do I look for in a friend" Really I just hang with people that are nice, easy going and have similar interests to me, which makes it easy to hang out with them.

Final Weapon :   It is always great to meet new people and become friends with them.  That is one of the best things I like about this site is the people I can talk with and have fun with.  Glad to be a friend, and I will never consider you anything less than that

I mean no disrespect to anyone who considers me a friend on Vizzed but I don't think of most people here as friends. At least not anything I would consider a remotely close friend. I'm friendly with lots of people but I don't consider many people to really be my friend. Most people know me at a superficial level so they aren't really friends. The few people I've really gotten to know around Vizzed know that they are my friend. A lot of the rest might think of me as a friend but I likely don't feel the same way because of where the relationship stands from my perspective.

I think my biggest quality I look for in a friend is trust. If I don't trust someone there is no chance I can be their friend. Like I said above, I can be friendly towards people but I won't consider them to truly be a friend if I can't trust them. That's just the way I look at it. I don't really think I have many true friends in real life because of this. There are a few people I feel I really can trust but beyond that I have a bunch of acquaintances that I interact with because of work or church.

Thanks for you consideration! Sure we don't personally meet up, but I feel like us users can get to know lots about each other through our amusing conversations. I'm also quite focused on trust and loyalty. Thanks for the thought provoking critique.
