Well Nintendo of America Inc. has officially crushed my spirit in the worst way possible. They removed all the Pokémon hacks I love to play so much and some other games I like to play occasionally. If they have crushed your spirit like they did mine, tell me or don't. I just thought I'd create something to help those people that are like me and are hurt by what Nintendo of America Inc. did. I don't know if anyone started a thread like this and I hope not because I really want to keep this thread since it's basically all I have right now. I just want to hear how everyone feels about this and sound off on how much Nintendo of America Inc. has truly hurt me emotionally. So if you take this to heart as much as I did, I'd love to hear that I'm not the only one. If this is how I feel, I can only imagine how Davideo feels so my heart goes out to him. I hope you can find a solution, I really do but until then I'll still use this site, I might play Dragon Ball Z or Yu-Gi-Oh until this is worked out but there is no way that I will stop using this site as it means so much to me and it's brought me so much joy. Pokemon is a deep thing that I love and I have loved for years but it is not the only show/game series that I love. I'm putting my faith in Davideo that he will find a solution but until then and even if he doesn't, I'll still stay loyal to this site and I will look back fondly on the memories that the Pokemon roms and hacks have given me. We can't abandon VIzzed just because a crisis like this happens, it's still the same site, it just doesn't have a lot of games that it used to. I came to Vizzed a  young 14 year old boy and I am not leaving just because of all these things that are going on that are out of his and my control. If I could do anything, I would in a heartbeat and I'm sure Davideo feels the same way. Have some patience with this and I'm sure that everything will be fine, but leave the site because of this and you won't be around to see that, which is why I ask you to stick around, find something you've never played or you love to play and give it a chance. I promise you that you won't regret it.

If the removing of video-games from a site crushes your spirit, I'm surprised you're still alive at this point.

This site is thoroughly loved, and the removal of so many frequently played games is actually a pretty bad impact to the site. If you can't or won't understand... Well... This isn't the site for you. Refer back to the first sentence for directions.

It is sad that they took down their games, but I guess most of us that have been around for awhile expected it to happen at some point.

I will point out that any game you played on Vizzed is saved on the PC's hard drive that you played them on. So you can load them up in the appropriate emulator. If you use the same emulator you made the save from, you should even be able to recover your save state file. (All found in the Vizzed directory of your hard drive)

Well I wouldn't say my spirit is crushed, though I'm not happy. I would understand if they took down the legit games like Pokémon Ruby and other legit games, but hacks being taken down is what bothers me since technically they are in the line of a fan game, and fan games are legal if they are not sold for money. That's pretty much the only problem I have with it really.

I saw this in a comment that i agree with and i wish i can give credit where its due but i'll repeat it here. I wont be surprised if in the future nintendo becomes so hard up for cash they tweak with some of these rom hacks and claim it as their own game.

Like Jordanv78 said, there are other ways these games can still be played, but I hope Nintendo doesn't find a way to screw that up too. I wouldn't be surprised if they did honestly. As I mentioned in another post, I don't think they realize or even care what this is doing to this great gaming community. I applaud the people who haven't abandoned the site because of this. The people that have left I think should reconsider, and if you're thinking of leaving just don't. It's not over till it's over. Davideo is trying to find a way to fix this, and I think at this point everybody needs to stick together.

To sum it up, I can totally relate to anyone who has been impacted by this. Nintendo had to know about Vizzed for a while, and I can't understand why they have waited till now to do this. Taking down all these games hurts Vizzed's traffic and revenue (even though none of these games were being sold or distributed), but whatever I guess to them it's just business as usual. Vizzed isn't just a place to play games, it's also a place where people can share stories about their life, chat, etc. What Nintendo is doing is really bad for the website.    

Guys I know that it was going to happen eventually and about your saves are supposed to be on the PC's hard drive but you know what, here's what none of ya'll thought of. I play Vizzed at the library and up until a couple days ago, I had no flash drive to save the Plugin on so I can't just load my saves, I wish I could but I can't. That's why it hits me harder than any of you, plus my life sucks most of the time so Vizzed was the one place where I could have fun and feel important. I don't want your pity, that's not why I told you this. I told you so you'd understand why Nintendo taking the games, especially the hacks down affects me so greatly and why I feel so hurt.

UltimateKyurem : Well this is a little sad....at the back of my mind I had a thought. What about those who do it elsewhere and not being able to do what David suggested? I am indeed sorry about this ultimate. If there was another way I would suggest one. Also don't be a little hard on other members they are trying to encourage you in their own way and not pity you. I do hope things will maybe turn out fine for you somehow. ^-^

Eniitan : Thank you and I hope it reciprocates for you too. I'm just not the type that wants pity, I just want people to understand what I mean and why it makes me feel so bad that this happened. I do appreciate everyone trying to make me feel better.

UltimateKyurem : The RGR for some emu's is having issues right now, but I believe your computer should hold a file for the game you played under Downloads. I couldn't find mine at first until I copied and pasted what it says on the RGR thing (C:/Program... etc etc). Have you tried searching this way?

It's sad. But...There's nothing much we can do about it. If you download a rom of a pokemon game and put in a .zip file, you can still play pokemon on Vizzed through the Your Games feature. It sucks that this happened, but at least we still have a lot of other great games to play.

I'm glad you're going to stick around regardless of this, though. I wish more people were like you on that matter.
