This is just a simple thread about sharing what gets you through the day, what motivates you to try and be successful, and what you treasure in life. We all know life is tough, throwing struggle after struggle our way, so we find things to enjoy and love to lessen that burden. For instance, I look forward to coming to Vizzed every day. Not only for the games, but more and more often the forums. I'm starting to get to know some of you better and it's bringing a lot of unexpected joy into my life. Who knew an online community could feel like a dysfunctional family

What gets me through the day is sheer energy (which I thankfully have lots of) and sometimes the promise of good things at days end.

Usually though, nothing special happens to me either during or after the day. However, I still need to go to school and get things done (typically limited to homework but even that gets quite hefty). It used to be I needed the promise of pure relaxation to get myself through all that- so I rarely did homework. I started sleeping earlier and that problem vanished.

My reasons are virtually the same as x. The thought of something good possibly happening at some point is what motivates me to keep pushing forward at times. Also, I really look foward to coming to vizzed. At first, I felt pretty neutral, but after talking with everyone around the board from time to time and other things, I actually came to think of them as friends of some soft. Though I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it.

My sheer will power.
And coffee. Lots of coffee.
Music and video games also help.

Oxygen.
Nutrients.
Long battery life.
I am absolutely a human. There is no doubt.

Seriously though, food and knowing I can lounge about before falling asleep. Just... eating and not doing anything is so satisfyingly lazy it's not even funny.

I have no idea what has gotten me through countless dull boring hours of school

What gets me through the day is simply feeling fine. I've been battling against several problems for well over a decade, and whenever I feel fine I can do whatever I can think of (though my lazy nature is a great obstacle in achieving some of the things I can think of).

My guides also get me going, specially the ambitious projects. I feel fired up when I see a guide can be extremely massive, even if it means tons of hours of work. And well, playing videogames at large gets me going, both for my projects or for the fun of it.

Another thing is music. Depending on my mood, I listen to different styles, so even if I'm feeling down or not motivated a bit of music can pump me up again. I can hardly pass a full day without listening to music, be it on my MP3 when going outside or in my PC when working or doing homework.

The stuff that gets me through the day is vizzess, coffee, and baseball, and I use all 3 on a daily basis 365 days a year. No matter what, I always need coffee in the morning, or maybe some tea and I can never go more than a few hours without doing stuff about vizzed or baseball.

(I found playing cammy's theme in my head actually made the time go faster in some of the boring lessons in school for some reason.)

Although many people understand it, my faith in Christ pushes me through many days.  I'm always eager to see what He has in store for me, how He's going to make me better, and how He's going to defend my day.  I never cease to be surprised at all that He does for me.

Now, if you're looking for more secular and less preachy reasons?  Absolutely, beyond the shadow of a doubt, my baby boy is the center of my universe.  Every waking moment is spent thinking of him, wondering how he's doing, and wishing I could be holding him. He is absolutely beautiful, and even in the worst hours, he can make me smile.  A mother's love can hardly be outdone!

The thing that drives me is my desire to be the best I can be socially, physically, emotionally, mentally, educationally, career-wise, etc.

I like the challenges and hardship life offers.  They are a constant reminder that I can actually do this stuff and that success gives me pleasure and happiness, knowing I'm overcoming challenges that would make other people quit.

I enjoy improving myself and helping those around me get better.  My job, since I'm a boss with a staff of 14, is to ensure they're developing their own career trajectories and they're off and doing what they want and improving themselves.

What gets me through the day?  Attacking challenges and refusing to lose to that little voice that tells me "Quit."

Generally speaking, I have this weird, unexplainable feeling that I was born to achieve something very important and very specific. We've been broke for years, evicted once and almost twice, and are barely getting by. But for some reason, I'm not even slightly discouraged by any of it, but actually more determined with every passing trial. While I haven't much, it leaves me with a great amount of time to learn, plan and reflect. I believe in purpose, and that no one dies without achieving their purpose. What keeps me going is knowing that my success in only a matter of time. Almost as if I was waiting to get out of prison to finally work and enjoy the fruits of my labor, and make people's lives better in the process.

What gets me through the day? Easily the endless fandoms, music, animes and game series' I find myself enjoying. No matter what, I always have an option. If I'm feeling sad, I'll be quick to turn on any music that I know can cheer me up even a little bit. Bored? Gonna drown myself in some awful/not so awful fandom. Need something new to do? Find an anime, then drown myself in that too for about a good month or so.

Stuff that gets me through the day is seeing people I like to talk to, to pass time and when I get home in the afternoons I get on vizzed, PFQ, Twitch, and YouTube all to help for the rest of the day. If I didn't have all that stuff I would probably be in a corner in my room trying to find something to do.

Going to the gym, and social interaction of some sort. I haven't been to the gym though in about a week due to illness, so this explains why I've been edgy this week and crabby and just.... blah.

The thing that primarily gets me through the day would be the allure of the concept of experiencing things.

At my worst the idea that I'm living for the purpose of engaging in new experiences, be they good or bad, is typically what gets me through the day. Granted there are things that make my day more valuable for me to bother to get through it such as video games and the like, but the thought I presented is what in itself gets me through the day. I suppose it is that concept that fights the idea of stagnation occurring, keeping me from perceiving my life as monochromatic on what one would perceive as an average day, is the allure I see in "engaging in new experiences" being the thing that gets me through the day.

The odd thing is living for pure experience (namely new experiences) is not a view I could back well in something like a philosophical debate, nor is it my current stance on value theory (what makes a like meaningful); but I suppose I can still have the luxury of saying I'm still in the process of researching what makes my life purposeful (be it day to day or in the bigger picture) and that's why I have the flimsy motivation that I do perceived as my current motivation.

I say fun things. Such as friends or watching something talking or doing something you love to do. Even sleep helps if you can believe it lol. I try not to always think of the negative and think of the positive things to come. And to look forward to many unexpected things. Because you can never know what can happen on that day which can surprise you in a good way.

What I try to do to at least get through the day is just try to not create problems like taking time away from the issue like going outside and walk around, this is what I normally do when things starts to get intense. So, what I do is to try and make the best of it, because once you get through negativity, there is a light of positivity at the end of the tunnel, that's how I look at it.
