This competition had 66 submissions which is actually a lot considering it required users to use external hardware and/or software to record the songs. The stream lasted over 3 hours since modern music is on average a lot longer than retro music.

I don't think I've ever seen a submission get as low of a score as Endless Possibilities got. I thought it was his weakest submission, but I didn't think it would do that badly...

Anyways, congratz to the top 5, I wish I could've competed, but since I don't have capture cards and stuff like that, I couldn't make the submissions I wanted. Hopefully I'll be able to participate in the next one. David said the rules would change, so hopefully they'll make it to where I can make the submissions I want.

Even though i'm glad about the new style of the music contest, I still don't think i'm gonna participate any further, as my taste of music seems to be a minority among these contest   ..we'll see though

Congrats to the winners. I was way too busy throughout January to enter this competition, but I'd love to compete in one of these in the future. I don't have a working capture card, but I do have a DVD recorder, not the best visual quality but that's not really important for music. Interesting, but not that surprising (this being a retro website) that a lot of the top submissions were 8-bit music, considering the type of competition.
