Think about it guys.... The world wide mega corporation is everywhere. In you email, in your money, in your phone, in your computer.... EVERYWHERE.

There was a news story a while back saying that there was a script in Chromium based browsers that listens to you without permission. You can see that story here.

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/jun/23/google-eavesdropping-tool-installed-computers-without-permission

Sure, they later SAID that they took it out, but how much can you really trust a monstrous organization like that...? Your information has a nice hefty price put on it by the government... that story is here.

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/jun/25/google-pulls-listening-software-chromium

Notice that the article reporting it's removal was posted only two days after the article exposing it? Obvious coercion is obvious.... In addition to all that, just think about what else they are getting across all your accounts and devices. Plus, Chrome is resource intensive anyway. So, to sum up everything I have brought to your attention, I leave you with this:

ps.....

I HEARD THEY ACTUALLY BOUGHT THE ILLUMINATI!!!

That's an old article.
I believe they removed that...
Also, Chrome uses less resources than FireFox and FireFox has a bad memory hole.

While I care that they can listen to me (someone else can possibly turn on my webcam remotely) I also don't care. If they want to see my hairy ass or listen to me fart while surfing the web then by all means go ahead. I doubt I could actually stop them even if I wanted to. The fact that there is code from a dozen companies (or more) on my computer and then microsoft does a dozen "updates" every week that could do just about anything (and I wouldn't know the difference) I highly doubt that my browser choice is really solving a whole lot of anything.

Oh no they might hear me yawn or fart or sneeze. Clearly I am at risk of having my life ruined.

Even if I cared (I don't), there's no better browser available. I'm not using IE or Opera or Safari (lol to anyone who does), and Firefox is just inefficient.

Google more or less controls the world anyway.

My phone is an android. I use google for anything I am not 100% confident in knowing the answer to.

I am 100% fine with all of this.

Vanelan : Actually, of the top 4 browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge), Chrome and Edge are about tied for using the most RAM, and in most tests Firefox uses the least RAM. Have you ever tried to run Chrome on a crappy computer? It barely works at all.

but yeah, this thread is dum

TheFadedWarrior : FireFox has a big memory leak though. That's my issue with it.
I used to be a big fan of FireFox, but when it was slowly using more and more and MORE memory from being left open for any period of time, that changed my over to Chrome.

m0ssb3rg935 : Gotta love how written communication tends to ruin all of the good jokes...and serious conversations... ruining friendships...and causing problems...and...and why are we even online anymore???

[/joke]

Sorry I just found this. Oddly I never got the summon.
