Like the description says, I felt it was high time this forum got another semi-serious thread, because while it's fun and all, this forum is about all kinds of threads, not just jokes. So here we go.

What was the last game you 100%ed? Maybe it was a modern game with trophies or achievements or whatever, or maybe it was an older game from before those things existed and you just completed all of the side quests and/or picked up all of the collectibles or something.

My last 100% was actually achieved today in Kung Fu Rabbit. It's a puzzle platformer that's better than the name implies. And while it wasn't the hardest game to 100% by any means, it wasn't the easiest task I've undertaken either.

The next game I plan to 100% is Snoopy's Grand Adventure, then it'll probably be Nihilumbra (and that one will be a challenge).

So what about you? What was the last game that you 100%ed, and how recent was it? Do you plan on 100%ing another anytime soon?

The last game I 100%ed was Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition. I'm not sure how long it took me to get the platinum trophy for it, but all I can say is I am done with that game. It wasn't easy to get ( it never is ) but I can finally move on from it. And I've already 100%ed Warframe as well, but sadly there is no platinum trophy for it. I think its the only game I've played so far on the PS4 that does not have one. It was one of the first games I fully completed, so it was a while back I did that. I'll also point out that the quickest game I ever got the platinum trophy is Rocket League...I did it in less than 3 weeks.

Its only a matter of time before I 100% Gauntlet, and Madden 16. All I have to do on Gauntlet is basically kill a whole bunch of enemies with all the possible characters you can use. And all I have to do on Madden is get the rest of the Ultimate Seasons trophies. I would say give me about a couple months or so and I think I should have both of them done by then.

For the record, I love getting or trying to get platinum trophies. Most of them are really hard to get but that makes gaming that much more fun for me. I always love to bring on a challenge!

Shadow the Hedgehog. I got all the A ranks beat hard mode, and of course. . . all ten different endings. I think that this might qualify for 100% completion but. . . I didn't find all 5 keys hidden in each level.

They didn't do much, just unlocked different paths or granted you vehicles/powerful weapons. Not really worth opening really either. But ah well. Still makes me wonder if I should be posting in this thread.

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

MattyIce : Gauntlet? I have that one but haven't downloaded it yet. Is it worth it? I hate getting a game that I can't bear to play through to Platinum. I only have one right now, but I'm always working towards a new platinum. Sadly Kung Fu Rabbit didn't have a platinum trophy. I still got a kick out of 100%ing it, and it helps my completion percentage. Also any idea if Gauntlet would have any content that I would find objectionable, bearing in mind I'm a Christian and preacher. The original Gauntlet I was okay with, but I always wonder about modern remakes.

We're the same level I think, or we're at least close. No idea how we compare completion wise though. I suspect you're outdoing me, but I have been stepping up my efforts lately. Unfortunately I have one game that requires 100 hours of playtime for one of the trophies and a win on a completely randomized scratch off card that I get once a day. The real bummer is that not only do I have to luck into scratching all of the right boxes, but the cards usually don't even have all of the right symbols on them, meaning I have to luck into getting a good card AND scratching the right boxes. I hate luck trophies. :|

Sword legion : Well I guess there was technically more you could do, but I would say that was good enough seeing as how you got all ten endings. That alone is pretty intense. Do you still plan on getting a PS4? And if so, do you think you'll be into trophy hunting?

Eirinn :   I don't remember if it was Ogre Battle for the PSX, or Suikoden 2 for the PSX, but either way, when I play them, I always 100% them.  Ogre battle is a fun one since to get the best ending, you have to do a whole lot of character recruiting in almost impossible ways, have your alignment very high, and find very hidden items.  Suikoden 2 is similar in the fact that you have to get all 108 stars of destiny, but there are around 116 I think that you can recruit in the end.  The hard part is getting the save file from the first one so you can get McDohl in the second one.  He's the main character from the first Suikoden.  And then, to get the best ending from Suikoden 2, you have to save your sister at the end, and that leads to a new save file you can transfer to Suikoden 3.

The last game that I 100% was Jetpack Joyride. Did I around thanksgiving it in December and it took forever. I already reached hundreds of levels. Played sooo many hours of the game. I was so proud of my gaming skills once I got it.

The last game I played through 100% was Kirby's Adventure for the NES. This was the first time I had ever done that, and it took me nearly 6 hours! The next game I plan on doing is the first Wario Land game for the Game Boy, and that one is easy because I always get 100% with that game.

Eirinn : Gauntlet is a pretty fun game. It was especially fun when I was first playing it. But then once I got all the other trophies, besides the trophies where you only have to kill a certain number of enemies, it started to get just a little boring since all I have to do now is kill a bunch of enemies. I would think you'd probably have to put in close to 100 hours worth of gameplay.

And as long as you don't mind a little blood, I don't think there is any content you wouldn't like. Its just a normal top-down game where you go around, sort of in maze-like levels, and just eliminate everyone before you can move on to the next part. This modern remake is good enough to play all the way through, but I still like the one for the N64 the best.

If you're willing to put the time in, I think you should seriously consider trying it out.

I would have to say the mass effect series for me but after that I went back to Final Fantasy 10 and put like 600 hrs into again. I think final fantasy 10 is my most played single player game with like 5000 plus hours on it.

The last game I 100%ed was Super Mario Galaxy 2 I did it back in summer. I played though it in a weekend it was so easy and the green stars
felt like I was grinding near the end I was not having fun anymore. Then I got the grandmaster galaxy which to beat both levels took me 1 hour and 24 mins. The next game I plan on 100% beating is Sonic Adventure 2 Minecraft or Super Mario Sunshine whatever I get to first.

Super Mario 3D Land.  Before that was Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition. Not all of the achievements for GTCE registered due to an offline glitch, so I've played it through again and got all the achievements except the one gotten for beating it on Hard Mode.  I'll get that one sooner or later.  But right now my attention is focused on beating and reviewing Bit.Trip Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien.  That game is FUN and perhaps the biggest rush I've had in video gaming ever.  Not necessarily my favorite game, but still.  It's quite a rush to beat a hard level on hard mode.

I think the only games I've ever completely conquered are God of War: Ascension, Dante's Inferno, Final Fantasy (7,8,9,10,13,13-2), Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Xillia, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Legend of Zelda (Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask), Resident Evil (1,2,3,4), Dino Crisis (1,2), Xenogears, and Pokémon Snap. Gaming has been a cornerstone of most my life. Time couldn't be more well spent

Mynamescox44 : First of all, holy crud that's a lot of games.... Second of all, is that Resident Evil 4 on the Playstation 2 or Game Cube? There's more content in the PS2 version. Does this also include running on Professional? I never managed to beat the game on pro. If so, maybe you could share some tips.

I got oldschool and whipped out the original xbox and played some knights of the old republic, which is an amazing game and so worth getting out the xbox for. I saw all those star waars commercials on tv and it made me wanna play the game again, so I did the best that I could to 100% it, even though it nearly cost me from being able to use 2 awesome items for the finals boss battle.

Aside from that, I think the last 3 games I 100%ed were absolute gems for the ps1. Crash bandicoot 2: cortex strikes back, tomba, tomba 2/; revenge of the swine.

I have never played the original crash bandicoot so I cannot say if #2 is the best of the original trio before other gems like crash bash and crash team racing came along, but I can confirm that crash bandicoot 2: cortex strikes back is absolutely worth 100%ing. you can go through the game and collect all the crystals and get to the boss, and maybe you will find some of the gems along the way, but a few of those gems are quite frustrating to try and get your hands on, and some even include finishing a level fast enough, or even not dying so you can reach a secret, completing that secret, and then going back to tackle a different secret, also without dying from that first time trying to complete the level. Believe me when I say those plants that spit bombs at you will get on your nerves, and trying to avoid nitro while sliding on ice will be tedius, but it will be so well worth it.

As for tomba and tomba 2, they are quite underrated games but absolutely are worthy of 100%ing. Every item has a purpose in completing that goal, and there is a lot of charm within the gameplay itself. These 2 games are not overly difficult, but sometimes finding the right place or the right item, or getting that hard to reach treasure chest makes the game so worth putting a full effort towards. I highly recommend 100%ing all 3 of these PS1 games, as well as knights of the old republic for the original xbox.

lordbelial669 : I've actually thought about trying Ogre Battle. Is it the same one as the one on the SNES? I loved what little I got to play of that one. Also Ogre Battle 64 was good for what I saw. Never got to play much of any of them, but I like what I see.

MattyIce : Aw bummer. I was hoping it would be like the N64 version. The classic was decent enough though, so I'm still interested enough, but slightly disappointed. Thanks for the info man!

gamerforlireforever2 : That's one of the better looking Wii U games I think. I would really like to get that one, as well as New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Luigi U.

Mynamescox44 : Dino Crisis 2! One of my favorite games. The original was good too, and Tales of Xillia is one I would love try.

bobq : Any idea if Crash games are on PSN? As for Tomba, is that a platformer? Never played it and barely can say I've even heard of it.

L.A. Noire
Skyrim
Saints Row: The Third
MLB 12: the Show
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Hyperdimension Neptunia
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Ratchet and Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal
Saints Row IV
Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Final Fantasy X HD
Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4
Dragon Fantasy Book 1
Dragon Fantasy Book 2
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3
The Swapper
MLB 15: the Show
Fallout 3
Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7

It's usually reserved for games I really enjoyed.

Im not sure about the crash games availability but they are very highly regarded so I would assume so.

As for tomba its an adventure rpg type game that is kind of like one huge puzzle... you get these items and youre wondering what you need to do with them. Talking to almost everyone in the game will trigger some sort of new achievement you need to complete, or it will help you complete an achievement you may have forgotten about. You have a place that tells you which achievements you still need, and which ones you have, and blank spaces where you may have missed potential achievements. You can certainly complete the game without 100%ing it, but these games have a certain kind of charm that makes you really want to 100% it. You will find yourself backtracking to tackle different achievements, but once you have the flying dog, the achievements become much quicker to complete. Be warned that some events will prevent you from completing older events if the scenery becomes changed. For example, if you beat the swine that cursed the snow land in tomba 2, then a life bar becomes impossible to get. Also, if you get a life bar but it does nothing, that means you have to get a certain item which unlocks all the other life bars you have unlocked. It will makes sense when you play. You may need a guide tho to fully complete the game... especially tomba 2. Trust me its worth it.

The last game I 100% for trophies is Project Diva f for the PSVITA. After completing the levels and doing them on the hardest difficulty, I was stuck grinding the game for the next 20 hours to get the trophies. Ah well, at least I had fun with it.

Another game that I 100% recently was The Godfather for the PSP, which is a botched down version of The Godfather, you play some familiar levels but there's no driving and you do all the combat levels. There's a unique feature in the game, where you use cards to take over the city the game is based on against the other 3 mobs. But once you completed the story mode and have took over the city, you are completely locked out of your save to say "you completed the game."
