Take your pick of what you may or may not have locked yourself out of but the question is have you done it....

I've been locked out of my house before but I don't really count that.

I have locked my keys in the car before. I can't remember where because I did it as a teenager but my mom had to drive to where I was and unlock the door. I also didn't have a cell phone back then (most people didn't) so I had to find a phone first to call her from before I could get her to come and help me out. It was pretty annoying.

So, anyone else done this before and been stuck either away from home or out of your own home before.... tell us about it!

My mom is slightly crazy. (Just kidding....maybe....)

This happened about 3 years ago, I was at the end of 6th Grade. My mom left all of her keys inside the house, and we were locked out of the house. I was the skinniest/shortest of the family, (even though I was the oldest sibling...) so my mom tells me to climb through the broken garage door window. She pushes me through, and I land in the garage and open the door to the house. Lunar saves the day! : D

I've never locked myself out of anything, bit I have had myself locked in places, bathrooms, libraries, you name it and each time I had to call someone so they would call the people in charge of the building to get me out.

I have been locked out of my house before, multiple times a week bit that's only because I'm not allowed to have keys or be in the house alone.

I have done this multiple times.
I locked myself out of my house, locked myself out of my car, locked out of my internet (after trying the new security feature), and basically, locked myself just about anything.

When I was very young, I ended up locked in the bathroom. Of course, I was very young, so I didn't know why the door wouldn't open. My mother had to come up to the door and tell me what to do before I could escape.

On a side note, I think I was locked out of my home at least once. Since I walked home from school years ago, I had to take a key with me to unlock the door. Well, I forgot the key, and I just had to wait for my parents to arrive so I could get in. It was a strange experience.

I think that most people have locked themselves out of their house/car/etc at some point in their life. Or heck, more than once.

I know my mom locked me out of the house a few times when I was younger. Thankfully I was able to get in through a window so it wasn't a big deal.

I think the worst time I've done something like that was the time I locked myself out of my RUNNING car when I was at one of those do it yourself car washes. Thankfully I was able to call my mom and she was able to bring me a spare set in like 10 mins.

I've locked myself out of the house a lot. Twice just these last month. Locked myself out of my car about three times. Locked myself in the bathroom once the knob was not working and that sucked. Locked myself out my job building waiting on my ride outside in the cold weather. Geez, just about anything.

I got locked out one time with my mom and brother 4 or 5 years ago. My dad was at work and we were going to go the grocery store and my mom left the keys inside the house. We had to wait 35 minutes in the garage while we waited for my dad to get back. We were pretty lucky that this happened towards the end of the workday, so my dad made it pretty fast. If it had been during the meat of the workday, we might have had to wait a few hours.

I remember locking myself at of my apartment one day. It was simply being careless really. I'm a bit ashamed to even say this, to be honest.

I've never locked myself out of anywhere, but I have been locked in my room a few times.

The house I live in was built in 1882, and I swear the handle of my door was still original. If not, it looks like it's at least from the early 1900's. Anyway, it was always getting stuck. I would be able to jiggle the handle and open my door after a few seconds, but one time it jammed on me. I couldn't open it at all.

Nobody was home so I was stuck in my room for a few hours. Not too bad considering my video games and everything was in there too. Eventually when my Mom came home and I got her attention, she came upstairs to help. She had a bunch of screwdrivers, but none of them really worked with the weird antique screws.

I got out when the handle actually snapped off. We were able to dig around in the inner workings and get the door open and I replaced the handle with something more modern.

I've locked myself out of my house, car, phone, and computer. Not all at the same time, but I just felt so smart every time it happens.

I once locked myself out of my house, and it was quite an adventure...

It was the first day of Grade 8, a big deal seeing as how it's the last day of middle school over here. So obviously my mind was on other things, not including the keys to my dad's house. See, I woke up at the house, had breakfast, packed my computer, then dropped the computer off at my mom's condo.

Walking home to the condo I realized I left my keys at the house. Yeah, the keys to both the condo and the house. And both of my parents wouldn't be home for at least another hour.

Oh boy.

So I walked a kilometer to the house and retrieved a spare key from the garage. That solved the lock problem, but I had another one- the house had a code-activated security ATD system. I punched in the code: ****-2.

Well, that didn't work because I put 2 instead of 1, because you put in 2 at the end to activate the system and 1 to deactivate. I mixed them up. But I didn't know that right away, so I got the keys and was ready to punch in the activate code when the alarm sounded. Panicking I shut the door and bolted to the condo.

So the company was called and I got embarrassed. My dad was a good sport about it though and didn't give me much grief over it. Still, quite a ride.

geeogree : Yeah I did..... and it wasn't pretty I had to go to my auntys place when that happened. When my mum came home she yelled at me. At one point I lost my house keys and I never lose them. It happened at least 2 times to me and I made sure not to ever lose my keys again in the most odd places in the most oddest of times. '-'

Yes I have locked myself out before. I locked myself out of car when I was in college. I put my keys in my trunk while I was getting my books for class. I forgot I laid the keys in the trunk. After my last class. I then realize what I have done, (I usually put my keys in my pocket so I assumed that is were they were). I had to wait till my mom got off from work as she had the spare key to my car. I waited 1 hour till she got off which wasn't bad. Finally she arrived unlocked the car and off I went. It was embarrassing to say the least though.
