The Video Game Music feature has come a long way since it launched about a month ago which you can read about here. The Video Game Music can be found here:

The feature is nearly at 60,000 songs and since there are a ton of songs that need ratings, I'm offer Viz again to those who help out by rating songs. All you have to do is find songs that are good and rate them. Look up songs that you know are good, search the internet for suggestions on what songs are good or search for songs based on system, keywords, etc. If you come across Bad songs or OK songs then feel free to rate them Bad or OK but this offer is for finding good songs and rating them good which means only songs that you rate a 4 or 5 will count. DO NOT RATE RANDOM SONGS, I will be looking through the songs you all rate to make sure you didn't pick random songs!

Here's how much Viz I'll give you guys based on how many songs you rate:
+25 Songs = 5,000 Viz
+50 Songs = 15,000 Viz
+100 Songs = 50,000 Viz

Rating Super Nintendo songs will not count for this offer since I already had an offer for SNES. Songs for all other systems count though!

Once you've rated enough songs to qualify you for Viz, be sure to let me know in this thread and I'll send you the Viz. Keep in mind that you'll also be automatically earning CP and Viz when you rate these songs so you'll be getting my bonus Viz on top of the regular Viz.

Between the songs I've rated today and the songs from previous days, I'm very sure I've reached 100 songs rated for music outside of SNES games. With most of them being GBA music, since that system was a pretty big part of my childhood (Not quite as big as N64 or GBC were though, I hope those systems get added soon). Just to be sure, I know you already said SNES doesn't count, but does that necessarily mean that those who participated beforehand are still eligible for this offer? And I think you already know most of mine will be coming from the Generations soundtrack lol
(Someone had the nerve to give Rooftop Run Act 2 a lousy 4. I can't believe it. Naturally, I hit 5 almost instantly.)

And just thought I'd point out that all the songs are listed as Sonic Generations (PC). Some of them (I'm pretty sure), like the Biolizard boss theme, should be for the 3DS game. Not sure if that's even worth correcting, but figured I'd let you know.
Also, I don't know if it's just me, but when I click on an Artist on the bottom of the playlist screen (in this case, the amazing composer Tomoya Ohtani) it just redirects to the vizzed home page. Possible bug?

I rated the first 30 songs on the ff7 sound track, I plan on listening to the rest tomorrow.

Well I didn't plan to blow through that so fast, but the Viz limit on rating songs wasn't a deterrent for me. So I have now rated over 100 fantastic non-SNES songs! (99% Sonic stuff)
I covered the entire Generations soundtrack and then tried to hit some others that weren't rated yet.

I wasn't expecting to like the music player this much, but I have just fallen in love with the simplistic design. I've been rating and adding songs as new soundtracks are added. I currently have over 200 songs from popular rpg games in my playlist( https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/music.php?playlist=50#player1?catid=0&trackid=0 ). I appreciate the consistency you've had in updating the music player since its release, and I'm looking forward to more songs getting added to it( Final Fantasy Tactics ).

I can't do this. There's absolutely nothing there that I'd actually listen to outside the games. Hell, most of the time I turn the music off in-game.

Davideo7 : I have rated 25 songs for Turbo Grafx and Game Boy Advance.
I came across a few that did not work. I basically searched by system, then clicked Turbo Grafx, scroll down to:

This is a really great idea. Considering I LOVE listening to old video game music from time to time, I will enjoy going through and rating a ton of these. I've already rated a bunch, but I'm going to be rating MANY more.

Most of the ones I'm listening to now and rating are TG16 games.

Jordanv78 : That's great that you're doing TG16 games since a lot of people I figure will bypass it since it's one of those systems that very few know about or care about. A lot of great music for it as we've talked about before though so I can't wait to see what great songs you find.

Hey, I have a few questions.

1. Is there any way I can upload songs that aren't currently on the site?
2. I don't understand why SNES games don't count. Could you elaborate on that? I understand now.
3. Does this have/count Steam exclusives and/or Indie games?

I believe the reason why David wants you to do OTHER systems aside from SNES is because he already had an offer our previously to rate SNES songs.

I believe as of now, we have only uploaded songs for systems that are hosted here on the site.

Davideo7 : I'm still using Chrome. I know I should switch to FireFox, but it's hard to get used to again. From what I've tried, that Artist bug only applies when clicking the name at the bottom of the screen. If I click the song itself and then click the artist name in the info column on the right side of the screen, then it works just fine. 

And I have rated 100+ songs and counting, so 50k Viz, thanks! 
Amazing feature, much better than Youtube since these soundtracks are complete up to the little jingles. I even found a few I'd never heard before, like the White Space Medley on Generations and piano version of The World Adventure from Sonic Unleashed. 

Davideo7 : Are you open to have people send you more songs through private message? I have the entire Phoenix Wright soundtrack series for the DS downloaded on my laptop?

I don't think we have any steam exclusive soundtracks uploaded yet but we'll get there.


Jordanv78 : Actually we've been uploading soundtracks for modern games as well. The focus is more on retro games but I definitely want to get soundtracks for some of the more popular modern games, especially ones with great music.

Thanks! This feature is also better than YouTube for the following reasons:
1. No pre-load ads
2. Less bandwidth
3. Easier to find songs based on keywords, system, game, etc
4. Probably even have some songs that can't be found on YouTube

I feel like "Royal Crypt" from Zelda: The Minish Cap is a remix of a song from a previous Zelda game. I just can't place a name of the game. Anyone know? Also, I'm not getting Viz anymore. Do more votes count? And I've rated at least 100 songs, 4 or 5.
